The Force Awakens Adam Driver as Kylo Ren

Also, does this mask have an open visor where we can see Kylo's eyes? Everything we've seen has his eyes blacked out.

We actually have never really seen a lot of Kylo in motion. In the first trailer, we only him from behind, then in the second, him doing that Force Choke towards the camera. And then walking out of his shuttle in the Comic-Con BTS trailer. That's about it.

I don't know what to make of his voice. He sounds bored and one-note, like Hayden Christensen. If these are the exact sound bites taken from the film, it might take me out of his overall appearance/character. I was hoping for something more sinister and regal. Even Darth Maul's 3 sentences were acted much better.

No it doesn't. It sounds more like what a bad guy might say to an enemy he underestimates.

Love that line and can see this line used in the same context. If Rey fights Kylo.

The delivery sounds kind of awful but well, can't judge the performance yet and all that.

I will say that you could insert Kylo's lines in the script for TFA's porn parody and they would fit right in, so JJ has delivered on mimicking the OT already

Kylo Ren looks like everything else and nothing else at the same time. I'm curiously in love with his look. Every new piece of promo footage or action figure makes me interested and draws me in.

Just listened to the voice again (from the mask, not the figure). I'm kinda digging it. He sounds a bit like Vader, but not so much that it sounds like he's copying him. One of the things that worried me about Driver was his voice; the guy is a good actor but he normally has a really unusual manner of speaking that I worried would sound strange as a dark Jedi or whatever he is. But I like what I'm hearing from him here.

I really am glad they didn't alter his voice electronically. He sounds like Adam Driver, but kind of contemptful, maybe a bit condescending. I don't doubt Adam Driver, he is a fantastic actor who we will be seeing for years to come in movies with the way his star is on the rise. My hope is that they make a compelling character. There weren't too many well fleshed out bad guys in the Star Wars movies yet so really he has a lot of room to make his mark. From looks alone and JJ's comments and of course all the cool artwork and toys i'm really hoping for an all-time classic bad guy with him

Yeah, the only SW villains worth a crap IMO are Vader, Palpatine and Jabba. Everyone else just feels like cannon fodder. Hopefully, Kylo, Phasma, Hux, Snoke and whoever Benicio Del Toro ends up playing will be memorable baddies.

Tarkin was good (but that was mainly because of Peter Cushing IMO) and so was/is Darth Maul.

Grievous is underrated.
Not a generic super-badass but a cowardly sneaky, still skillful warrior with a striking voice. Not a very developed, intriguing or deep character – but a damn fun one.

Sure, he was introduced too late (as Maul was killed too early) but I enjoyed him in ROTS and his role in the CGI Clone Wars series is what solidified him as a really entertaining, memorable villain for me.

Grievous was really cool. Wish there was more of him actually. I also thought Sam Witwer's Maul had his moments. I hope they bring on Witwer at some point.. dude's underrated as hell
