I just read the recent 52.

I don't know if someone already talked about this.

But.....do any of you see a possible hook-up between Adam Strange and Starfire?? This "tension" between them that Buddy senses....... could it be "sexual" attraction. I mean how many times have we seen this scenario?? Moonlighting. Jewel of the Nile. Tough guy....emotional beautiful woman.....desperate situation..... FALLING FOR EACH OTHER??

Isn't this how GL (John Stewart) & Hawkgirl started out on the cartoon?? Remember how they bickered all the time only to find out it was because they had the hots for each other???

Just a thought............

Who isn't attracted to Starfire?
Well who other than Roy Harper

(Sorry... had to post it one more time :D)

...you used a  in your post. :wow:

Also I'd have thought Buddy and Starfire after he uhh...saw her...in the nude.

Adam Strange and Animal Man seem to happily married to think of things... Even when the get desperate.

and married men don't slip up? These guys are human....and she's half naked all the time. I know buddy saw her naked. so he's the obvious choice. It's always the one who is the most resistant.....and that's Adam.

Stuck in close quarters ...in space.....don't know if they will make it.

Also Adam said something interesting. "He likes long distant relationships"???
This coming from a husband and father??? And the zeta beam is a tool to get outta there??

hmmmm..........

Besides...after reading the last year of "crisis" crap, is there anything DC wouldn't do to it's characters??

They raped and burned Sue Dibney. They blew off Ted Kord's head.

So what's a little "adultery" to this guys???

My spider sense is tingling on this one. :spidey:

For both Animal Man and Adam Strange it would be pretty out of character for them both.

Adam Strange chased his wife and daughter over the universe just to be with them - even though he saw their planet destroyed. His whole backstory relies on him doing what he does because he loves his wife.

And Buddy is just a family man, he didn't even bat an eyelid when he was in the hot spring with Starfire.

What's "out of character" mean at DC these days? That's what they've been trying to do this past year.....take their heroes "out of character". And yes he fought valiantly for his family. But.....you cannot be a husband and father, say you love them and be glad for a Zeta beam that takes you away all the time. To "prefer" long distance relationships??? Then you need a "girlfriend" not a wife. I hope they don't do this to Adam. but I'm sensing something here. :spidey:

I don't think he's the attracted one.

Adam's seen Starfire before. Presumably, losing his eyes didn't make him lose his memory.

As for a possible attraction, I would've written it off if not for that line about zeta-beaming away from his family. That seemed like a pointed implication that Adam might eventually consider Starfire in the heat of the moment, since she's hot, nearby, and easy. In other words, it looks like whichever of the writers put that line there did so as an unofficial declaration that they may be turning Adam into an adulterous *****ebag.

Which would be very unfortunate.

Yes, it's to replace the skin that was long ago burnt off. By friction.

Soon she'll die and her ex-boyfriend will get to call on her powers of ****tiness.
