I know this thread has to have been done before, but I searched and nothing came up. Anyway, what are some non-game franchises/IPs that you would like to see adapted to a video game? Explain what you would want the game to be like.

This should probably go without saying, but I better say it anway: Obviously I'm talking about franchises that have had very few, if any video games based on them.

I know there is a "what movie/tv show do you want to see adapted to game" thread, and what "Comic book character should get their own game", nothing generalizing everything like this

I'd love to see a Mortal Kombat game with fighting system like the movies and the TV show from the 90s, like the Liu Kang vs Sub-Zero fight in the first movie

Hunger Games or Battle Royale will make good games

Friday the 13th Game where you play as Jason, a cross between the Arkham and Hitman games, and as time goes, the targets get more difficult, from teenagers to policemen and finally to SWAT teams.

Hunger Games with a heavy focus on stealth and survival kind of like MGS 3 would be a really excellent game

If Alien: Isolation is good, how about a F13 game where your the teenager and Jason is always lurking and trying to find you and you need to survive?

Even though there has already been two or three games (kinda simple ones but still fun) I would like to see a game based on the world in Avatar The Last Airbender in a similar style to Kotor or Mass Effect or something similar.

Same with James Bond. I want a Bond game with more conversing and mystery kind of like Mass Effect but the gameplay of Blood Stone/Splinter Cell Blacklist but more emphasized stealth.

So with this Soapy are we sticking with games that have very few/no games in their universe or can some of them be ones where they've been abandoned for some time, and or have never really had a good game?

Would also like to see a full co op Xmen game that's like Xmen Origins Wolverine. Doesn't have to be rated M but the complete care they took in making you feel like Wolverine. It'd be amazing if they chose like 5-6 Xmen. Applied that same care to them and created this big coop game. Ah that'd be great

That was kind of done with the last Friday the 13th game, and unlike with aliens there is only one Jason, so i think that he should be the protagonist, a stealth game where you play as the serial killer.

A game based on the show Luther.

I'd like it to have LA Noire type investigative elements.

Superman. All I want is a game that lets you feel like Superman with all his powers. LEGO Batman 2 did a good job at introducing how it would feel, and Saints Row 4 does a good job with the powers, so I would love to see some kind of mash up there.

The Pacific Rim franchise seems ripe for video games.A fighting game where you could choose to play as either a Kaiju or Jaegar in a massive city would be incredible. Also we could finally see Jaegar vs. Jaegar.

There's actually already a Pacific Rim fighting game.

Pacific Rim does need a big, definitive game though. I think something like MechAssault for the original Xbox would be a cool template. Especially now, because they could make much larger and more destructible levels. Though the mecha in Pacific Rim are less shooty and more melee-focused, so the gameplay would have to be very different.

Was that the game with that huge awesome ass controller? If so I agree.

No, that was Steel Battalion. (Though I agree, that would be a cool direction too.) MechAssault came packaged with the first version of Xbox Live.

Comic book games I'd love to see:
LEGO Ninja Turtles
Moon Knight
The Flash (he can work, he can work)

A 4 player co-op Marvel Knights game, set in a free roam New York city.

A telltales Preacher/Transmetropolitan game

An Avengers game that is to superhero games what the Avengers movie is to Superhero films.

A Doctor Who game done in the style of Mass Effect, where you can create your own Doctor.

An open world style game for Michael Moorcock's novels. You could play as Elric, Corum, Hawkmoon, Erekose, Jerry Cornelius, Colonel Pyat or any of the novels' supporting characters throughout the game's Multiverse setting. The potential in bringing characters into different settings both fantastical, futuristic, and historical is what I'd enjoy most. The different areas of the Multiverse range from the futuristic, to steam punk to post-apocalyptic to sword and sorcery. I think a game with such variability to it's setting and story could be fun.

Really,I'd love more video games based on superheroes that aren't tie ins. I feel at least most A and B listers from the big two could fulfill the need for awesome single player/campaign modes with awesome gameplay and proper story/character development. It's something I've been thinking over for a while but I really would like to see a major presence for comic characters in games. I feel a lot of them can benefit from crossing into the medium. Aside from movies (which I think are getting oversaturated in all honesty) and the comics (where the industry has taken some severe blows) I feel video games and TV are the best options for that serialized feel, while also establishing independent canons a la Arkham.

would love to have a throwback to the 90s X-Men videogame, would look amazing in today's consoles.

was going to say Game of Thrones, but i read that Telltale will be developing a game based on that. hope it's good

I'd like to see an RPG built by Obsidian or Bioware in the vein of Baldur's Gate of ASOIAF. Though the Telltale game will probably be good, I'd love to see a classic RPG set in the ASOIAF world.
