For starters I like dc more than marvel, I read more dc comics, think man of steel was kick ass, and enjoy arrow more than agents of shield. I think dc's storytelling is much darker and that appeals to the modern world more. When I first heard about batman v superman I was stoked, and my first thought was the dark knight returns. I'm still excited but I can't help feel like they are cramming people in this movie. Batman, Wonder Women, Cyborg, Aquaman, Lex Luthor, and now Doomsday. I want to stay hopeful but my best friend (a marvel fanboy) says this is going to bomb, Someone help me stay positive!

Since when has Doomsday been in this? Also it seems like Ray Fisher won't be playing Cyborg in this movie but simply just Vic Stone, before he became Cyborg.

Doomsday's not confirmed, unless you believe Devin Faraci...

:barf:

Wonder Woman will probably have a glorified cameo if you will. Her role may be a blip of screentime, but of significant importance. Aquaman, Cyborg or any other members of the JL should be cameo's and cameo's only.

Doomsday is NOT in this nor has anything been confirmed about his status. Just a rumor ontop of 1,000 others.

Cyborg, Aquaman are cameo's.

WW will be like Black Widow in IM2 maybe a bit less. The rest are replacing characters that aren't coming back from MOS.

I don't think the number of characters will be an issue in the film.

-Superman and Batman are the leads
-It's been rumored that Diana Prince and Lois Lane will be the female leads (Diana may end up having a smaller role than Lois)
-Lex is the only villain confirmed thus far
-Cyborg/Vic Stone has only one scene in the film
-Aquaman is expected to have a small role in the film
-The Flash may cameo, not too sure on that one
-Ma Kent's in the film, as expected
-Alfred will probably have a role similar to that of Ma Ken'ts (at least in size)
-Tao Okomato, Callan Mulvey, Scoot McNairy, and Holly Hunter have roles in the film, although whom they are playing is unknown.
-Doomsday and any other rumored villains are NOT confirmed

At the end of the day you've got two stars in Batman and Superman, two (possible) female leads, one villain, a string of supporting characters, and a couple of kick ass cameos!

There have been movies with larger casts that have been highly successful as well too. Look at the Lord of the Rings films as an example.

If your friend tells you this movie is doomed due to cramming a lot of characters (in his words), remind him of the number of characters who will be introduced in Captain America: Civil War. It easily outweighs this movie. Iron Man, Cap, 2 villains already confirmed, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, Winter Soldier etc.

If they can tell a good story, the amount of characters in this film doesn't matter.

Don't listen to your stupid friend.

Thus ends today's lesson.

These are the kinds of posts that stir the Marvel vs. DC pot. No need for this thread.

A Marvel fanboy saying this movie is going to bomb? I'm sure he's not biased or anything...:o

There is absolutely no way that this movie will bomb. It might underperform, and it might even be horrible. But it won't bomb.

Why this thread still open? I get a cease and desist letter about my Monica Bellucci tribute thread and they close that one.

@Starman

What's on you fibble ass mind?

Don't confuse me for starman 2112.

I hate when people act like everyone in a movie cast has the same exact size roles as everyone else. Just think about who was on set the longest that we know of. Affleck, Cavill, Adams, Gadot, Eisenberg. Other roles were less and less. As far as I know, Momoa was only there for a week or two back in June.

As of right now, in terms of speaking roles, the BvS cast is about as big as MOS was.

A movie needs characters...

Don't get this complaint, at all.

People are whining left and right about how BvS is overstuffed when Age of Ultron and Civil War are the same, plus GotG had Star Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Drax, Gamora, Nebula, Ronan, Thanos (in a minute-long scene that's only there to remind you that he exists), the Other, Yondu, The Collector, Bereet, Nova Prime, the ENTIRE Nova Corps, a couple of Celestrals, Carina, and a cameo by Howard the freaking Duck.

So like, yeah.
