I remember hearing about this HBO series years ago before rumors of an HBO Watchmen series started floating around. I thought the project was pretty much stuck in limbo as not much in the way of news related announcements regarding the project. However, I see details keep getting added to the IMDB page for this series and there's apparently been some filming quietly going on for the series for some time now.

Does anyone think it will come out this year?

No further news on the project but still seems to be in development limbo...

Announced in 2015, this was supposed to be HBO's Watchmen before the Watchmen series began. Of course, there was a hang-up with an actor best left unnamed but it seems casting started in process again afterwards.

Bridgette Nielson was rumored not too long ago and it has a full cast and some of it has been shot supposedly. If an online news blogger reads this please contact Adi Shankar's representative to ask for a further update?

I think this sounded like a pretty interesting project and would appreciate seeing the episodes.

Given where Shankar's priorities seems to be these days, I would say it is dead.
