Affleck enters rehab for alcohol addiction

I wonder if this will contribute to him leaving the Batman role?

Wish him well in his treatment.

Addiction is an awful thing and hopefully he can overcome it.

Papparazzi invading Jen and Affleck while he get's something to eat before going to Rehab

Papparazzi.....they make drug dealers look respectable.

Hope the rehab helps him recover.

Drug dealers at least fill a clear supply and demand situation, and most of their victims have largely consented to their interactions. Paparazzi ... who the hell pays these people? Where's the demand for this stuff?

Tabloids and even some respectable media organizations are what fuel the paparazzi who really just could not give a **** about simple human decency.

I really wouldnt be surprised if it was the Paps that helped alert Jen that Ben was down for the count once again.

I really hope he tries to surround himself with people that wont fuel his alcoholism. His last girlfriend bought alcohol with him even though it was widely known that he had problems. I hope this new one is better for him.

Sad to hear. Hope he manages to finally get straightened out.

As a fellow alcoholic I feel for him. Sometimes when in a funk it feels as though you could drink yourself until the end.

Thumbs up to Jennifer. She seems really supportive.

Paparazzi are one of the lowest forms of pond scum. Pure bottom feeders.

Gotta love the double-standard with people on the paparazzi thing as opposed to drugs. "There are only dealers because there's a market, legalize drugs now!", and yet...

People obviously have an appetite for this stuff, it sells. I don't get it either, but very clearly there's always been demand for what the paparazzi do. Blame the gossipy public. Half the time (though assumedly not in thi case) the celebrities are in on it anyway, co-operating with the photographers. Not all the paps are the skeezy camp-outside-your-kids'-school-to-get-a-shot-of-you-the-parent guys.

I don't know how you can even see this as a double standard. Drugs and paparazzi are such vastly different subjects.

Of course they are. But the argument seems to be here there's a market for it. That goes both ways, the skeezy paparazzi guys are just providing a service the public obviously wants. If there's blame here, the lion's share goes to the housewives with their fashion magazines and the teenies reading TMZ or whatever.
