After 300's success, The Authority can be done.

Remember reading a debate about how an Authority movie couldn't be done, mainly due to the fact that it would have to be r-rated and no studio is going to do a comic film with an r-rating because it's to risky. I think with 300 success and with its r-rating to boot an Authority movie could be pulled off. I know the budget would have to be considerbly higher, but it looks more possiable then before. I also know that 300 is different from the Authority, but it still gives one hope, though i know an Authority flick will never be made.

What's the gist of it? I wiki'ed it, but there seem to be a lot of stories in the issues.

Its basically a group of superheroes who defy governents and international law to do what they think is right for the world.

How popular was this comic? I can't say I've heard a lot about it, really the only movies they are making are on extremely popular comics. But hey its possible a smaller named director could be up for making something completely differant than the other comic movies, could be cool if they do it right.

It seemed to sell allright in its hey day. who knows?
