Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents-of-shield-renewed-season-5

So very happy about this news this is not just the best superhero show its one of the best shows on tv.

Yep.

I'm glad, and I think it's hilarious as every season since the first, some forum "experts" proclaim it as good as dead and it's now here for a season 5.

That said though, I do think Season 5 could very well be it's last season, but if it's not, I'm cool with that as well.

Yea 5 will definetely be the last but im ok this has been an amazing 5 seasons its a shame people gave up on this show its been soo good and soo much fun.

4 seasons.
Season 5 can't be called amazing yet.
However, I am glad that they are renewed.
It will be interesting to see where they go from here.

Season 4 - ghost rider, lmd, darkhold, madam hydra, modok, if season 5 keeps the same momentum its gonna be an epic final season.

Shocker! One of the lowest rating shows for broadcast networks every Tuesday and it gets renewed again. King of escaping cancelations despite low live viewer ship.

It's not a surprise at all. It outperformed prior ABC shows in that time slot, is owned by the Network and does very well in L+7 ratings.

Surprised this was renewed, the budget will definitely be cut. Definitely last season.

Great news. I hope Season 5 will lead up to the agents appearing in Infinity War, maybe with guest cameos from various MCU film characters such as Tony Stark, Nick Fury and Peter Parker.

To me that would be a great final season for the show, assuming that this will be the final season (I'm guessing it will be because the rest of the first three phases is coming to an end).

Thanks, negative Nancy

You're most welcome! I don't have a problem with the show I should point out, just saying. They can't pump the same amount of money into it with the ratings being as low as they are.

I said before that it would get renewed because it is nearing syndication numbers.

I read somewhere AoS is high up on the DVR and On Demand lists but lower on the live views. That could be another reason they're getting another season

Good news, one of my favourite shows to watch!

I am really happy this was renewed.
I could totally see them doing only a 12 episode run tho. That would get them up to that magic 100 episodes. Would love a full season but i would be happy with a shorter one as well. I just want a good end for the show. One that can now be worked on and won't feel rushed.

Ghost Rider made the show better. I love GR one liners. "It's time to pay for your sin". "it's not me who decideds"

I think it would be a good time for a finale. Keeping it nice self contain without overstay it's welcome.

I think a shorter season is better. One of the problems with U.S. Series is that that they generally tend to go for 22-episode runs and it can result in things being unnecessarily stretched out.

Having said that, I don't think Agents of SHIELD has that problem. I just think the U.S. should follow my country's (UK) more successful format of between six and thirteen episodes per series/season. It allows for a tighter story arc and reduces the danger of stagnation.

If not this format, then they should do more U.S. dramas like Season 4's three-serial structure (Ghost Rider/LMD/Framework). In the UK we're only just about to enter the Framework storyline but so far these mini arcs have added a breath of fresh air to the show.

I want to see Fixer so the Thunderbolts can eventually appear. He only fits in to AoS within the MCU since I can't see him appear anywhere else.
