First of all I could give a rats ass what's posted on that site, whether it was positive or negative, from Harry or the talkbackers. Why people would defend it just baffles my mind.

I didn't turn this thread into anything. Read the title and there is no jealousy on my part if that's what your suggesting. If you knew me you'd laugh at that one. There's nothing for me to be jealous about. Harry does some good things now and then like the Stallone Q & A's, and he get's some killer scoops now and then but all of that is washed away with the bull**** he does. Read deconstructing Harry.

We have to expect a lot of caution given the first movie being so sub par for many though

The trailer was badass. Noone needs to tell us that, nor do we need that validated. Everyone knows Harry is a jerk, he doesn't like anything, so we ignore him. We know where the posters stand, so we ignore them, and allow them to reside in their land of bias.

AICN is a business..... they get money, or "donations" from certian hollywood studios...... when they do, they talk in hihg regard about their upcoming films..... when they don't get money, or given the red carpet... they snub movies...... go through Harry's past reviews..... he's really liked some CRAP movies......

^ I liked The Island. No it was hardly original because it borrowed from almost every sci-fi classic ever made including Blade Runner, Star Wars, Anthem, 1984, Logan's Run, etc...but it was well made and it was fun. Did it deserve any writing awards...hell no but I really really enjoyed it quite a bit. Michael Bay surprised me there. I also thought Superman Returns was a great movie but it did feel like we've all seen it before.

The soundtrack was awesome on The Island. It gave it a dreamy feel. Too bad it was ruined by all those over the top action sequences. I would've taken a different route with the island but eh... i'm not the one in the director's seat.

I liked every action scene except when they were on that sign falling down. That was too far out there. Black Wasps=Cool

I wasn't all that pleased by the teaser. The effects were great, but it just lacked something. I felt that the inclusion of dialog detracted from the impact, and Ioan did not come across as LESS WIMPY than the first movie. I'd hoped he would have a different presence, but he still looks a bit sappy and conflicted. Perhaps it was just pre-wedding jitters...

It was just one scene and Ioan was in the middle of getting married and he only said a few words after having the biggest day of his life interupted. He also looked up as if he was concerned for everyone like WTF was that? I do agree he was a bit too wooden in the first film.

I admit it was a small sample on which to base a judgement, but I think it would have been stronger without the dialog.
