You know, you never know how good you have it till your AC goes out in your house in the middle of July in Houston. Its in the low 90's in Houston but it was about 85 in my house...cant sleep with that...

It seems this weekend, I have a short or something that is tripping my AC unit. The Compressor outside with the fan is running, but nothing is happening. Luckilly, I have House Insurance and Appliance insurance. This means they will replace my AC for $50 if it needs it. Hopefully when they come out they can resolve the issue shortly.

Don't have AC and had 90's+ temps with heat index of 100's and doesn't bothered me :D

It doesn't get in the 90's and 100's often enough in England but I could certainly do with AC on those days.

I keep it frigid in my room during the summer. So much that I need a blanket. It also doesn't help when girls emit immense body heat.

I found havin air condition in my house makes me sleepy, everytime they switched it on in college I would get tired. :(

Whenever my power went out for a week after Rita, I thought I was going to insert my dick into the AC whenever it finally came back on :( Humid and hot = a very miserable person (ME)

Don't have one. But I do have a heater, though. Very useful in times like this. It never really gets that hot over here. Get fans. They're much easier and cheaper, too.

We had central air installed in the house this spring. Up until now we had a single room air conditioner in the master bedroom. However when we discovered our heating unit had a cracked block and with our new little guy in the house in his own room we figured we may as well get central air with the new furnace. The difference is amazing. We keep it around 22

How are you still alive?:o
If I didn't have AC, I'd be a puddle on the ground in this heat.

I would get a AC if I had enough money. Unfortunately, the prices are just so damn expensive these days.

Used to the heat, heck I go to Vegas when it's 115 there :D

I remember we were at an amusement park (Action Park) and I had family from England over and you had to be a certain height and weight to go on some of their rides and they were giving me centimeters and stones. :down

Last time my AC went out I sat at the computer all day naked, and when I went to get up to get some water, the leather chair was a part of me. I named it Chairy. :(

That's because, like all other reptiles, you are unable to regulate your own body temperature. :D

I know your pain, Malice. It's been cracking 105 on a regular basis, here. Our A/C has gone out twice this year. The first was due to the outside unit needing some maintenance. The second was because it blew both fuses AND the circuit breaker. I have the service company coming to tune it up today, because even with the A/C running all day, and every ceiling fan in the house creating minor tornadoes in each room, it's still getting up to 80 degrees in the house by late afternoon. Heat and I don't get along very well. :(

Thats different though, its dry heat you hardly sweat but youre burning the **** up. In Miami its humid as hell meaning if youre outside for more than 5 minutes youre sweating balls.
