the directors (genuine) frequent the imdb boards, and alienexperience.com is a great site for avp2 news...what you should know about this movie.

1/ terrible script review of a leak on aintitcool scared the bejeesus out of FOX- hence everything has been very hush hush, and lot's of re-writes.

2/First-time directors The Brothers Strause are helming the movie coming of a music video back ground.

3/Apparently there has been a lot of re-writes. The movie no longer takes place in texas but in Colorado. Th

4/According to the directors, there will NOT be a battle inside a K-Mart.
(the leaked script was a year old draft-glad they got rid of that idea!)

5/The final battle will take place in a GeoThermal Plant.

6/The national guard will be involved (meaning army, SUVs versus aliens)

7/the predators will call for help from a "lone predator"- an experienced one who travels on his own (cause hes so bad ass)

8/there will be a big helicopter crash sequence

9/there will be aliens in the sewers

10/the designs of the predators will be closer to the original (i.e not bulky and with better faces)

11/the alien design is more like Aliens with ridged heads

12/the directors & fox head tim rothman have confirmed this movie will be R-Rated.

13/ John Ortiz from Miami Vice plays a sheriff.

seriously this movie is (according to the directors) going to put right what went wrong with the first. I dont like the earth premise but the directors didnt have a choice..(im sure they would have went for space/future if they could)

So IMO whats started out as a potentially crap movie is at least going to look good and be violent. It sounds like theyre being quite imaginative with the earth script=using a power station equals-nice backdrop, aliens in the sewers.

"you dont have to worry about aliens being killed with pitchforks etc" colin strause on imdb.

I think the Strause Brothers will deliver the goods, and if they can make the earth premise work, then I think well have a good fun movie.

In my mind the only bad thing about this movie is that it is no earth and theres a new "newt"..

the success of this movie really depends on the acting and the dialogue....its not doomed just yet...really is a case of wait and see.

Thank you for the information...It is good to hear from those that have details and not just opinions. It's hard to determine whether a movie will be good or bad without even knowing what the storyline will be. It's crazy when people say that it will be "HORRIBLE" when they haven't even seen the trailer or movie. How can you assume that? LoL Thank you for your input. I've heard a little on the movie, but that's the most i've heard in a while. Thank you!

What about the scene where the lead Predator comes in to save the day and starts rapping (in his alien language) about how he's all that and how humans have no chance against him? Wasn't Will Smith suppose to be the leader Predator?

I hope that they get some good actors that are dramatic and that the people just love to see them on the big screen. It would be great if The Governator would be in it! But that wont happen. The first Predator movie was PRICELESS...Period.

IDK if there will be nudity, but if they're isn't well...I'm not gonna complain b/c it could be worse with the nudity. They could have a 350 woman having a predator's baby. LoL I dont even want to imagine that!
