Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. All Known Spoilers for AoS S2

Ok AoS fans. Season 2 starts in a few weeks, and I am dying to know what happens. I've looked through a bunch of fan forums and news articles and I've compiled all that I can pertaining to S2. If you have a spoiler, speculation or a prediction, get involved and share it here!

(CAUTION: SPOILERS)


1) Fitz Will live! I saw a glimpse of him in the trailer, and it looks like he is ok! The actor signed on for season 2, so it looks like he will be sticking around, for now at least.

2) Skye is an alien. Likely a Kree.

3) There is an impending Kree and Skrull invasion on the horizon.

4) Someone else may die: Ok so I found this in the marvel forums: In the book Agents of SHIELD Season 1 Declassified, there’s a redacted (cut) note at the end from Jed and Maurissa which hints at events in season 2: “We know that it’s going to be heartbreaking, but I’m sure you’ll be equally saddened when we have to say goodbye to… (redacted).” What? Who?! Oh my gawd.

5) Coulson is "special" ie. probably not fully human.

6) Ward will be redeemed.

7) Skyeward will be a thing.

8) Fitzsimmons will be a thing.

9) New cast member Lucy Lawless as Isabel Hartly, Adrianne Palicki as Mockingbird, and Brian Patrick Wade will debut as Carl “Crusher” Creel, aka The Absorbing Man.

10) We may get Cameos from Hawkeye and Black Widow.

11) Peggy Carter will be in the S2 pilot, and her daughter, Sharon Carter, (Emily VanCamp) may be a member of SHIELD's cast permanently.

Perhaps, we don't even know if she's an alien. She could be an inhuman.

I don't think any real sources have confirmed that.

Or just healed by alien DNA.

6) Ward will be redeemed.

The writers haven't confirmed that and are still saying maybe.

7) Skyeward will be a thing.

That's mostly fanwishing. (And really weird shipping too, it'd be really creepy for them to get back together especially after Ward's rapey comments in the finales.

8) Fitzsimmons will be a thing.

Again, the writers still haven't confirmed that and aren't saying whether the will or won't.

10) We may get Cameos from Hawkeye and Black Widow.

Rumors that were never true and are only wishes from fans.

11) Peggy Carter will be in the S2 pilot, and her daughter, Sharon Carter, (Emily VanCamp) may be a member of SHIELD's cast permanently.

Nope, she's a series regular on another show.

Fitz is pretty shy, so I imagine him surviving is going to lead to some pretty awkward scenes between him and Simmons this season.

2) Skye is an alien. Likely a Kree.

Kree or inhuman, I'd imagine.

3) There is an impending Kree and Skrull invasion on the horizon.

Marvel can't use Skrulls, due to their deal with Fox, so that puts a hold on that idea, until they get the rights back.

As for the Kree, who knows what they're up to, other than messing with human DNA from time to time.

If Ward dies trying to save Skye, that takes care of all three.

She could have a cameo at best both revenge and aos are on the same network.

In the movie TWS when talking to Steve, Sharon mentions her Aunt, she just didn't give the name.

Speculation and spoilers are two very different things.

This thread really serves no purpose that isn't already fulfilled by numerous other threads in this forum.

Should have been clearer, spoilers, speculation and predictions.

Just trying to get a thread going to learn more about what would happen in season 2. I haven't read the comics yet and there is a lot of info online that is conflicting. Thought you guys might be able to help me figure out what was real and what was probably not going to happen, and I thought that you all could post potential spoilers that you found here as well...

I am! I was kinda hesitant at first, I heard it was awful, but then I learned it was Whedon and, since I LURVE Firefly, I gave it a chance.

It kinda reminds me of it, the rag tag team goes on secret missions, danger and drama ensues... but within The Avengers framework. I'm hooked. I watched the whole season in a binge fest. I've seen all of the Marvel movies too, and love them (most of them) but I have yet to start on the comics. Soon, very soon... don't know where to start. I'm a bit overwhelmed...

I would say if you want to check out comics, PLEASE go ahead and take the plunge! Lots of different books out there for you to sample! Or you could by trades that have several together often sharing one storyline.

I'm actually mad at the comics from Marvel and DC right now. I've been a lifetime comic fan of DC, Marvel and several independents, but currently it's only the indies now that I still get into on a regular basis (for now).

I still pick up a lone book from time to time, but not whole series anymore. I will also wait and by trade paperbacks of complete story-lines if I hear from friends it was good, then I can read everything at once.

I think perhaps I'm just no longer the target audience as there are several comic fans out there enjoying what DC and Marvel is currently putting out. So, you have to ignore me, as I'm just pretty much old, LoL.

So now, for me, I get my superhero fix mostly from the movies/TV. I'm excited about DC's venture with their shared universe, I'm excited about the MCU, and I (usually) check out other comic movies/TV shows as I dig the genre.

CATWS noted that Peggy Carter was Agent 13's aunt. If Peggy had a younger sister, (or Peggy was a 'great aunt'), then all is well in the Marvel Universe.

The Super Skrull's are the shape shifters, which means no secret invasion, no replacing Avengers etc. Without that ability, they'd be pretty boring villains.

The Super Skrull is most noticeable for possessing copies of the powers of the original Fantastic Four.

No Fantastic Four obviously, but if they can use Skrulls but not the Super Skrull specifically then nothing says they can use characters able to change their form and with the Hydra and Shield conflict unless one of them is killed nobody will realise they're actually here.

Using them in Agents of Shield is an interesting subplot especially if in a war with the Kree, but that would have been best introduced in the Guardians movie but I didn't see anything about that.

Now the Kree being at odds with the Xandarians however... maybe introduce one of them instead?
