Alternative Danger Room "nod"

Most of us probably enjoyed the DR scene to some extent (I did but wish it was much longer) but most of us are also ticked off that they seemingly wasted the Sentinels. Something that would work perfectly fine in the "realistic" world the movies are set in.

So my question is what else could they have done, perhaps that wouldn't work in the actuall movie verse. Example in Ultimate X men there are scenes both in the Brood's homeworld and the Astral plain.

I personally think the Savage land could have been cool.

i really thought we were gonna see the senteniels in the danger room battle not just there head....... or fighting against Magneto and his old brotherhood... or just plain old robots and traps, gadgets and guns..

I thought the WWII/apocalyptic setting was kind fo cool since the scene was supposed to be just for action really. I think the coolest (notice I said "coolest" and not best) settings would be ones we wouldn't really see the x-men in ever during a normal x-film. Maybe different countries- a far-east setting could be cool, a big icy/snowy area or very hot firey climate, maybe a castle or something... let me get my hands on some beer and I can go on and on with these suggestions..

As for the Danger Room sentinel, while at first I hated the idea, I don't mind now. The danger room sentinel was huge- something like that would cause so much destruction and casualties in the real world. More importantly, though, the average movie-goer has no idea what a sentinel is- they just think that was a giant robot used for training, not a sentinel. With Trask put in place to have a larger future role, I think sentinels could be very possible- there's many ways they can go about it that would make it more realistic, make it stand out from the danger room bot, and make it visible (sorry, couldn't resist.. didn't bother me in X3 though).
