There was an idea....to bring together a group of remarkable people...

No, seriously, we're all here for different reasons, bruh. Some of us for Batman, some for Spider-Man, some spend more time in Community or Politics than the comic book forums, and that's okay too.

For myself, I went and saw Batman Begins and came away excitedly anticipating the sequel. So I joined Batman-on-Film to follow along with the sequel news. While there, I got disenchanted with the mods' attitudes and also kept hearing about this site called superherohype. So I came to check it out, and I've been here ever since.

And while I originally just came to follow along with Batman movie news, I branched out into Community and Politics which are where I spend the bulk of my time here.

I believe a lot of people came here like I did, following one comic-related passion or another, and stayed because, as cheesy as this might sound, they found a sense of community.

I'm pretty sure my mother's maiden name is one of my security questions....but like I said, that's the original family name, not her name

There are chocolate-covered peanuts, peanut-covered chocolates, and chocolate-covered raisins. So my question is, why in God's name did they put Detective Wuertz back on duty guarding Harvey so soon after he got allegedly beaten up by Joker's gang in The Dark Knight?

1) I don't like peanuts, so I'd go with the chocolate-covered raisins.

2) I don't know. I guess getting beat up doesn't disqualify you from active duty if you're not hurt badly enough to affect your ability to do your job? The Dark Knight is a great movie, but it's best to not start picking apart the plot holes. Otherwise you'll get into stuff like:

- the absurdly perfect timing of how everything works out with the chase to save Rachel and Harvey

- how nobody noticed the guy with Joker's less-than-inconspicuous facial scars and who generally looks a suspiciously awful lot like The Joker without facepaint being part of the honor guard at Commissioner Loeb's funeral

- how Gordon kept everyone thinking he was dead, even his wife. And why? "I had to protect my family", but The Joker never threatened his family in the first place. Or really ever gave a hint of giving a **** about Gordon in general.

- How did the ferry crew not notice all the explosives onboard?

- Why does Gordon at the end say "five dead, two of them cops" when the only cop Harvey murders is Wuertz? He only hits Ramirez, and explicitly tells her she lives to fight another day (unless he accidentally killed her with that punch? He does, as we saw earlier, have as Gordon says "a hell of a right cross").

To attain the power to bear the username of Schlosser85, I had to systematically hunt down and eliminate Schlossers 1-84.

Were any of them to return, via some time travel shenanigans, resurrection, or otherwise unnatural tomfoolery, I would be wiped from existence, as the power would revert back to them and I'd be toast like Gollum trying to handle the Infinity Gauntlet.

Why was everybody Kung Fu Fighting? That they had expert timing is a given. After all, they were all fast as lightning. But I think the underlying causes at play in the conflict is still pretty opaque til this day.
