Wow, what the ****. I went to my store and went to buy it (with the sticker on it saying "20$" and when he rung it up the guy said (and I quote) "326.27$".

I laughed and left promptly after. :down

i was at at the fan expo in toronto a week or two back and some vendor had amazing fantasy 15 going for $22 000, is that cheap or expensive? it seems awfully cheap when iv read that the first superman comic goes for over a million and batman goes for like 500 000, im kinda suprised batmans is worth more then spideys

Why? Its from the Golden Age and there's like only 20 copies that are NM that people know about. Flash's is worth more then Spidey's.

But both of those characters predate spidey don't they?

Also those prices were probably NM. No-one is gonna pay over 100'000 for a comic in any lesser condition than that.

actually i was just basing that off of that spidey is a more popular character

congrats on amazing fantasy # 15 that is the first appearance of spiderman . that is alot of money, alot of people cant afford that.

acutally on the action coimcs topic, there are no NM copies that are unrestored that are known to exist, hence the ******ly high value on the book

I really shouldn't have bought it, but it was absolutely calling my name.

I bought the Marvel Masterworks reprint of AF 15 for just a dollar at a comic shop. Sure its not the original print, but all the nifty stories and 60's adds are in it.

yeah it's good and everything but this is like the holy grail of marvel comics. It's as close as a comic can ever come to being a document of historical significance. Like the constitution of america but with pictures :woot:

I've read the constitution, its higly overrated.

Original copy or not, reading "The Bell Ringer" and "The Man in the Mummy Case" is a life changing experience. Oh and that spider-guy story's alright too, I guess.

Oh yeah, forgot about that one.
I've always loved the Martians story- that last scene where he's got the siz hands is classic!
