Aloha,
I'm just so jealous of you guys who get your Spidey soooo early. Lucky buggas.
Spidey rules with connections at Marvel Subscription
I 100% agree with you about it being funny but I felt bored while reading it. I don't like the Enforcers anyway so maybe that had to do something with it.Wow, I couldn't have more of a differing opinion.. This was definately the kind of issue that made me think, "Man, if you don't like this issue, you don't get Spidey at all."
I loved it. From the cover to the letters page, it was laugh out loud funny.
And I didn't even like the set-up to this. I thought the bookie, who I first thought seemed like a pretty cool character, came across as a big wuss. But it was definately worth it for the payoff in this issue. Great interplay between Spidey and the Bookie's dad.
What didn't you like about it, Touchdowns?

Funny. Great art. Sub-plots. Ridiculous situations. What more could you want??
Seriously though, I know what you mean. Sometimes all the ingredients are there, but if all you end up doing is flipping through it, it's all for nothing.

Me to! It was very gripping.I thought the cover for this one was great!

Indeed, it reminds me of the classic Spidey comics.Yeah... it's nice to see Spider-Man covers that reflect what's happening in the issue, and it was really nice to see actual "dialogue" on a Spider-Man cover...
Agreed! "The Spider-Man without fear", great line! And the Daredevil team up for July looks awesome... I love the cover ad for ASM #566...
I know Marvel wants Spider-Man back in the top 20.
Any other old-timers catch the tribute to the old "Not Brand Ecch" comic on page #3?
