Yeah, I know the spoiler. It's a big one.

The swinging looks great in the videos, anyways, the hold RT for swinging only works in indoors as far as I know.

Apparently, 2 people who own the game said you only have to hold the trigger to swing normally. I really hope it's not true. That doesn't sound nearly as fun. Plus, didn't they say they were taking inspiration from SM2? That sounds anything BUT inspiration from SM2. More like inspiration from SM1.

But I have seen videos where Spidey just keeps holding the web, doing the whole pendulum movement back and forth. I, as long as you can still get off the web any time you want, I'm fine.

You can just play as in other Spidey games (pressing and releasing R2), I sure that will work :D

Where? I've been trying to remember any times where I've seen that happen, but I cannot recall any.

Ya know what, I'm just gonna watch a ****-ton of videos. Brb, *****es.

EDIT: First video I watch, i get proof that it's true. I finally understand why he automatically goes into the animation for the next web-line. It is automatic. God dammit. Why did they change that? Sigh...I'll judge it for myself come Tuesday. Maybe it'll work better than I think it will.

I just talked to a friend of mine that has the leaked version. He confirmed the automatic web-swinging, but said that you can play exactly as past games (pressing and releasing, no turbo though) and that it feels great. And that the web-rush, when you get the feeling, it's just plain awesome.

Every mission can be replayed in the apartment (the thugs, car chases and such are random and infinite or, at least, a ton, apparently). The suit can get VERY ripped off. He actually send a picture of the suit after a robot fight:

The game is very Batman esque, apparently, it takes some things from it. For example, the photo missions are just like the Riddler's Riddles, it gives you a clue, and you have to take a picture of it. The story is told in a similar way as Batman, active story-driven objectives inside the free-roaming, you can complete them whenever you want.

Also, there are some secondary missions where you don't control Spidey, you control some kind of robot, and you have to record Spidey as he travels through the city using the web-rush. I assume these are some of the Bruce Campbell's missions.

The game gets harder as the chapters advance, it's not as simple as the playthroughs we have seen.

He's loving it :D

PS: Also, for europeans, the game is not dubbed. All the languages has the English voices, along with your language's subtitles.

I swear, if there isn't a form of manual swinging...

U BETTA BEREEV DATS A DING DONG BANNU

Well...it's disappointing...and useless. But I'll live with it.

Then how is it automatic?
Is it an option?

If you hold the web swing button, without releasing, Spider-Man continues to fire and release from web lines by himself at a constant altitude. All you do is hold the button and control his direction. If you want, you can release the trigger whenever you want during your swing, fly out into the air, and then press the trigger again to fire another one. (The normal way) The only downside (if you can call it that.) is that you cannot hang onto one web-line for as long as you please and just hang them, limply, from a building.

Wonder how we can hang from helicopters then.

Would suck if we can't. I know we can web-rush onto helicopters and just sit there but that isn't the same.

I don't think we can. I dunno why the game mechanics would just change when the game registers that you're attached to a helicopter. Besides, they added the ability to perch on the side for a reason, me thinks...

Then I'm already fearing for the web-swing.

Yeah you're probably right.

That swinging system ****ing sucks.

I think it'll work well when you mix it up with the web rush.

That's what I'm assuming.

You know what...I'm done. I'm not talking about the god damn web-swinging until I've played the game. I keep worrying and calming myself over and over again.

Looks like WOS still holds the title for best webswinging. (IMO)

But I think web-rush and combat could give this one the title of best overall gameplay in a spidey game. (But I'm sure there'll be another one in 2013 or 2014 to further improve the system, so I'm cool with that.)
