Okay yeah he's swinging from clouds in that video fighting the robot. But just imagine if he could only hang from buildings, how fun would that be? Not a lot of fun tbh. It looks way more fun this way and makes fighting the robot easier.
 
After all the hype they put into the web swinging experience what annoys me the most is the swinging from the clouds issue. Why should I have to wait until the next game for a correction if any?

I was hoping for a more realistic system. Isn't that what the whole movie is about? More realistic movement and praticial effects? Yet in the game he floats on air. The difference between spidey and bats is spidey's main form of transportation is the swinging. Imo it should be top notch. I would like to see more animations,sm2's swing system with improved controls(bottom of the swing charge and all),quick direction turning system and an improved web rush system that has more animations and flips.

Imo web rush should be used as a modifier similar to sm2. I would also love to see a targeting system brought in for using webs and gadgets. I would like to target where I fire my web line and web shot on any point in the environment or bad guy. Similar to the batman games.

In the sequel I mean. I hope they actually "GET" the message this time. We don't want automatic swinging. We want sm2's swing system.

It actually is a lot of fun! The only reason I'm picky about it is because I have played a game like that, and ever since then, non-realistic swinging just isn't as cool.

It is so much cooler when you can feel the physics of the swing.

That's true dude. I want to feel like spidey fully. If they combined the closer camera,the vertigo,controller rumble, and bottom of the swing mechanic I think it would be one of the best swing systems ever. Sm2's wasn't perfect but it was very smooth once it was mastered. Imo of course.

I actually never got the change to play Spider-man 2 (youre talking about the movie game for ps2, right?). But I did play Ultimate Spider-man. The swinging wasnt even totally realistic, but the grapple points always had to match a nearby building, and the way you swung was affected by it.
And if I was falling from a high point and attached to a tree or something on the way down, my momentum would actually make me do a loop.
 
Man, if it's true that you just need to hold the trigger down and you just automatically swing that's gonna suck. I think the game looks really awesome though. I don't mind webs not attaching to the sky, I don't want it, but I don't hate it. But if all you have to do is hold a button down, that blows.

In my opinion Sm2's system was awesome. Building momentum and speed was very fun. It seems that in this game web rush just does it for you as opposed to being able to do it manually. They need to work on that for next game. I want actual anchor points and no air swinging. This is ps3. Why do I have to wait two years for improvement? It's so annoying.
 
Web of Shadows has the best swinging mechanic IMO and webs don't attach to buildings in that game, so there you go.
 
I disagree on web of shadows. That's not the same experience imo. Realistic web swinging fits with our new spidey. No air swinging for the future. Rocksteady would get it...
 
You could even swing through sm2's park if you really got the slinging down.
I loved that slinging system. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it seemed like he was swinging from a rope instead of an elastic web.
The slinging in ASM is cool in my book. It makes it feel... cinematic and REALLY elastic.
Plus, who cares whether you can swing from the clouds in some spots? Just hold off until you're amidst buildings again.
Easy as that.

Obviously alot of fans care. It was a great system but it wasn't perfect. It could be improved for the current gen.

I'm sick of everyone thinking RockSteady is THE go-to studio for Superhero's after their Batman games. Make a good Superman game, then i'll be impressed
 
They would get spidey though. I didn't say all superheroes. I think they would nail spidey on the first try.

play lego batman 2, theres your good superman game, that game is awesome..

looks like another account bites the dust.. man they are really anal about videos for this game,
