I have this really crazy idea...what if we wait until we play the game first before we pass judgement? I know, I know, I sound like a complete madman when I say things like this :cwink:

I think they are very talented developers. I think they would be a good fit. I wish beenox and rocksteady could work together or rs could teach beenox a few things.

I truly feel like batman in their games. Spidey needs to get to that point. I don't think cloud swinging and jumping and floating in the air every 5 seconds is right.

How about no? Dude we can clearly see the finished product right in front of our eyes. It is what it is. People said the same thing about db ultimate tenkaichi. It still has the same flaws I observed from watching the finished product.

I think that statement is played out. What you see is what you get. Although web rush looks like a nice addition the meat is the swing system. If they nailed that with web rush I think it would be the best free roam spidey game ever.

You and I clearly have different ways of approaching things. I'm not making up my mind on this game until I play it.

At this point, I only care about the combat. I'll admit, I don't think free roaming and web swinging will be my cup of tea.

Seriously. While we all may have different opinions about games and what we want from a Spiderman game, I'm telling you from experience, I wasn't too fond of webs attaching to the sky and the swinging in general but once I played it... I totally forgot about all of that. It really does work and fit the game. Playing it and watching are two VERY different things in this particular situation.

If Rocksteady can do anything right, it's give their games an Identity. Everything from voice acting, character cameos, and the game menus, you really FEEL like you're in Gotham. With Spider-Man, they never really captured his universe (excluding USM, they got it down). Take that Asian reporter for example (whatever her name is). They couldn't have used Eddie Brock? or Foswell? (Patch). It's the little things, ya know?

@Ultimate

And that's fine. I hope you like it. I am still on the fence though. *Trust me* I want to buy it the day of but I'm still not sold on it yet.

@Webface

I look at the total package. I think combat in spidey games is a touchy subject. I think there's something missing but I'm not sure what it is exactly.

On one hand I don't want to be invincible and on the other I want to skillfully take out foes in a cool way. But I don't want it to be easy. Ac is far from easy when there's so many different obstacles coming your way. It lets you think on your feet and plan on the fly what your next move should be.

I can't put my finger on what is needed to make combat fun and challenging at the same time. I don't think making hits take more damage is the solution either. I think that ai needs to be smarter.

@Miles. I agree. We still need that definitive spidey experience.

@Bread. Hey I wanted to ask you something! Does the controller rumble and vibrate when you move and websling? That makes such a big difference for me. When the controller is quiet it makes the models feel like weightless.

Don't get me wrong, at the end of the day i'll still be buying this day one, I'm a HUGE spidey fan. I just can't help but imagine how good the games will be from here on out (hopefully)

Ummm to be honest I'm not 100% if they did or not. I'm pretty sure it didn't but then again the people in charge of setting it up could've turned the vibration off. But yeah same for me I really like the sense of motion, speed and peril it gives you.

Well, I hope you like it too.

Even though I am a diehard Spidey fan and I am buying this game day one regardless, I will be honest about my feelings on the game. And, IMO, I think that this game will be like just about any other video game that I've played...there will be things I love about it, there will be things I am neutral on and things I hate. I'm extremely excited about the game but I'm still reserving judgement until I've played it and then we'll see.

I hope the ai attacks more often in the hardest difficulty. Maybe we will have some lizard civilians to fight who will be mores harder foes.

So far we've got the movie suit (belt and sans belt), Mutant suit, Raimi Black suit...what's next? Ideas? I'm still hoping for the Kaine Scarlet Spider.

I'll be playing on Hard mode from the get go and yeah, hopefully we get a smart and aggressive AI.

I think they had some good ideas in shattered. Like flipping over the foes and stuff like that. But there is still something missing.

Imo the "building" approach is a little dated for spidey games. By building I mean start off with pety criminals, then robots, then infected people etc. I think there should be more of a variety of challenges.

@Bread. That scares me a little. It's like controller a weightless puppet. Hopefully it can be adjusted.

Even if I dont particularly like the less realistic swinging in this game, that's not enough to make me dislike it. It looks cool. Beenox has done good things with Spider-man in the past, and I've got it on preorder. :woot:

This is my wish list:
Miles Morales
616 Spidey
COMIC Black Suit
Scarlet Spidey (Kaine and Ben Reily)

Oh yeah I always go to the hardest dificulties for these games. I don't see myself replaying the whole story after playing on normal.

Yeah I hope so too. But to be honest, the reason I'm not 100% is because I was so immersed lol. Usually it bothers me too but I was so into it I didn't notice, it didn't take me out of the experience by any means.

IMO, Beenox has excellent overall presentation with thier Spidey games and they have a good eye for detail.

This is my wish list:
Miles Morales
616 Spidey
COMIC Black Suit
Scarlet Spidey (Kaine and Ben Reily)

I like this list. I wonder though, if we've gotten the Raimi Black suit...would that negate the chance for the 616 Black suit?

Hard's the way to go for me too. I'll probably replay portions of the story mode until I obtain all the achievements and aquire a platinum trophy.

I would like to see alt suits with abilities from the comics. Like scarlet spider with web bullets etc.

I want the two ben reilly costumes and spider-carnage, spider-man 2099 and then the red/blue and symbiote ultimate spider-man costumes.

Wow. What a *****ebag. And he brings up DBZ to boot!

I haven't been here in a while and thus haven't seen new alternative suits. Anyone mind posting some pic? It would really be appreciated.
