While I think the writing was better for season 2, the season overall felt weaker and ended too abruptly for me. Kinda meh on it.
 
I mean, they're probably going to need like 10 seasons to cover all of the material.
Nah, they adapted 45 out of 144 issues in two seasons. I doubt they will need more than 7 seasons total.

Actually about 6-7 seasons.

One season covers 20-25 issues of the comic. And there's 144 issues of the comic all up, that's 7 seasons at most to cover Mark's story. The odd bit of fat is trimmed away here and there to create something streamlined.

If you read Issues 50-70 of the comic, that's pretty much the whole of Season 3.
