Probably my favorite part of the episode was Durant and Bohannon sharing a drink. After all the crap they've been through together, it's cool to see them in their quieter moments.
When Sid died I thought Cullen might just dump his body out of the window and say he fell and broke his neck trying to escape, I mean it's not like a CSI team is on hand to disprove it.
I hate how every final season has to be a free for all slaughter.![]()
I'm not a fan of it either. It feels so...disingenuous. The characters escape some crazy stuff throughout the show, but because its a final season suddenly they run out of luck and bite it in dumb ways.
Yeah, it was a good set-up. There's definitely more to whatever happened at the Mormon compound though. Last I checked, smallpox didn't cause people to slash each other's throats, unless they were all killing themselves to die quickly or something. But I think the Swede had something to do with all of that.
Also, as much as I love this show, the whole thing with Ruth being hanged kinda pissed me off. I mean, she shot a mass murderer who previously escaped similar punishment by being PARDONED AND DEPUTIZED because Campbell is an idiot.
And oh yeah, Campbell is so adamant about enforcing the law, that he doesn't even arrest Mickey's cousin, who CUTS OUT A GUY'S EYEBALL RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM.
There needs to be a bit more consistency with this kind of stuff. Killing Ruth just felt like the show needed to tug on another heartstring.

I still the finale would have had more impact on me if they had left it with Ruth's episode and the "I quit" moment at the end. For me the finale would have made a better opener than closer. Just me.![]()
