They only edited out events that the contendors didn't score any points in...makes sense...

I agree, part of the show's fun is seeing these contenders get flattened by the Gladiators.

If they cut the interstitial trash-talk interviews, and shorten the contestant profiles, they could squeeze in at least another event.

Yes...there was an AG game for both the NES and SNES....

There is talk that if Matt Morgan, who are they are hyping as the biggest star on the show doesn't help improve the ratings for Amercian Gladiators once he debuts there might not be a third season.

I'm hoping AG's ratings pick up. I love this show. It'd be a huge mistake to cancel it. I know MNTV or syndication would pick it up if NBC dropped the ball.

USA is owned by GE I think. If AG isn't doing well enough on broadcast, they could move it to USA and have it lead in for RAW. a 1-2 punch MNF wouldn't stand a chance then.

I think NBC cut things down because the 90 minute episodes were cutting into the ratings. When the show was an hour it was easier to watch for younger viewers. A lot of kids watch from 8-9and most small children (5-8) have to go to bed on a school night. The 90 minute episodes were draining to me; I have to get up to work the next morning and I pay for staying up those extra 30 minutes. An hour works best, a two hour finale and semifinal I'll put up with.

I feel the same way, last season they were able to show the all the events in just an hour. The premiere was two hours and they had two sets of contenders. The show just has too much fluff. Also when are the going to premiere Atlasphere dammit!
