American IDOl BluRay/DVD/HD-DVD/Etc.!!!!!???

Could this be a possibility? I mean, you have concert BluRays of Justin Timberlake, Celion Deon, etc. Isn't American iDOL a great demo discs on Bluray, with the sound and the colors to make it a great collection? Granted there is like 7 seasons. But, I really want to see the show (INCLUDING THE AUDITIONS) in full HD, even though I do now, but in full 1080p glory.

Post any news or discussions here about possible HD releases of this show because I would really love to get Season 5 (the season with Chris Daughtry and Elliot Yamin) on BluRay

American Idol already airs in HD. I doubt they will release past seasons, but you can watch the current one in HD

well, I could watch any show that is suppose to be in HD in HD on TV (ex. Lost, Smallville, Prison Break, etc.). And they are coming on HD format because it boosts 1080p. But, it's very interesting that it's not released in buyable format. I think people would buy them because they are musical performance, which will be great sound if you have a good surround system

They could show highlights of the season . I dont think they would have the whole season available . I know they have dvds of some of the auditions

I doubt the market is really there, the most you could hope for right now would be a contestant's individual concert on Blu-Ray
