Supergirl Amy Jackson IS Saturn Girl

Holy crap, when she lived in Liverpool,where her family are from, she literally lived a 5/10 drive from my house. I have probably seen her out and about drinking/socialising in and around my area.

Remember reading about her leaving for Bollywood a few years ago in the Echo. Just seen this thread and learned shes now Saturn Girl in Supergirl. Crazy.

Amy Jackson is the hottest actress on any CW show IMO, and CW shows usually cast based on hotness, so that says a lot.

I do feel that her time on Supergirl is coming to an end sadly. Once she revealed that there's actually some other motive for travelling to the 21st century with Mon-El, I'm guessing by the season's end she will go back to her time and that may be the last we'll see of her, at least for a while.

I would've suggested she joined Legends of Tomorrow, but that show is already full, and is going in a completely different direction next year anyway. I don't really see her fitting in with that.

I think she’s going back to India where she’s an established actor.

Difficult to say. It really depends on what they have planned for her character.

In the first season of Agents of SHIELD, people (including myself) thought that Brett Dalton's Grant Ward was very bland and he almost seemed wooden. He was so by the book and generic that it seemed hard to believe that he had skills that were supposedly a match for Natasha Romanov. But he was told to play it that way to seem exactly like that, so that when it was revealed he was actually Hydra it would come as a big shock.

Now I don't know what they have planned for Imra. Maybe she could surprise us or maybe she is simply meant to be more subdued in temperament. We'll see what happens when she has her argument with Kara in a few episodes time. At the moment she hasn't really gotten angry but has seemed the very model of understanding and patience.

It could also be that she's trying hard to suppress her Liverpudlian accent and sound a bit more neutral. I don't know if she still speaks like this in real life, and I've heard a more recent video (which I posted on a previous page) where her accent isn't as strong as this, but here in this early one where she's just 20, her accent is pretty strong:

I don't think it would sound right for Saturn Girl to sound like a Scouser.

She is honestly a rather bland actress and at times in certain roles, it will lead to very poor performances. She gets away with it in India coz in most of our commercial movies, the lead actresses are just eye candy anyways.

And I am surprised she never mentioned why she was cast in that movie in 2009 in the first place. "Madarasapattinam" is basically a period film with some cutbacks to present day Chennai, but they needed an English actress to play the lead role as the story was about the sister of the Governor of Madras falling for one of the rustic common folk in Madras and their love story. Its not like they could have hired any Indian actress to play that role. Casting an actual British actress gave it a bit more legitimacy I think.

I would've liked to have seen Amy Jackson at SDCC or one of the UK cons. At least one of the UK ones, where it would be easy for her to get to. Not that she should have so much trouble getting to SDCC. She always seems to be travelling or on vacation anyway.

I hope she does still show up in Season 2 for an appearance or two. I don't know how likely that is though as we may have seen the last of the Legion for a while.
