I still watch his video's. James Rolfe is a pretty funny and IRL really nice guy.

His videos are all for show, but he usually pegs horrible games in hilarious ways.

This guy did a review of the Nerd's review once......and it is clearly and obviously not done in any seriousness, and the fans of the nerd came out in droves and slam the hell out of this guy.

So yeah, I like the nerd but his fans need to be able to open their minds a little bit.

His movie review of TMNT 3 was hilarious.

But it's not a fair comparison. James Rolfe reviews classic games/consoles that are in most cases very very bad, so even though it's for humor, there is still pure truth behind most of what he says.


Yahtzee uses newer/new games in pure comedy bits, to the point that you know you can't take his 'reviews' seriously, as their not meant to be taken seriously. He makes good points at times, but his schtick is practically for the sole purpose of comedy.

Both are great at what they do.

I like the AVGN a lot, but what I like the most from him is that unlike a lot of Internet stars, Rolfe is actually genuinely appreciative of his fans and does his best to please them.

Exactly. He is a really nice guy, nothing like his AVGN character. Like hippie says, he is genuinely appreciative of his fans.

I did not enjoy thereview of the Toxic Avenger games. It was not because of him - as always, he delivered his jokes with perfect timing and content, and his criticism is valid - it was the guest star, Lloyd Kaufman. Kaufman is irritating as f***; while I am happy Rolfe was able to rope in one of his cinematic heroes/influences, having to listen to Kaufman was a cruel and unusual torture. I would rather listen to nails being dragged across a blackboard for two hours than thirty seconds of video with that guy.
Ugh.
Offtopic, I went on YoutTube and watched another gamer review the E.T. game. It is horrible, and I am looking forward to its inclusion in the AVGN movie.
