Another Pixar sequel... Finding Dory

:/ I don't even know what to say,,,

Pixar you should be ashamed of yourself.

I'll give a benefit of the doubt, but of their films without sequels this is one that makes me scratching my head the most in terms of how you'd even DO a sequel.

They did that with Cars 2.

Toy Story sequels were great.

And Finding Nemo came out in 2003, they're not like Fox or Dreamworks and churn out sequels every 3 years.

This looks like Stanton's only way to do another live action film, give the studio another billion dollar animated film.

Finding Nemo was on of those rare films that grossed over $800 million and wasn't a sequel or have a sequel in the works. There's Titanic, Alice in Wonderland and Inception along with ID4 which does apparently have one now and E.T. after adjusting for inflation.

I feel PIxar has been slipping lately...Brave wasn't all that great

The thing is Finding Nemo seemed like a solitary story. It seemed like something you couldn't give a sequel.

How do you do a sequel to the movie without it being the same film over again?

IMO if Stanton would do a small movie after JC he would give a big f.. you to hollywood.he would show that its not about money. now with the Nemo sequel he admits that he was defeated. he is rich enough that he can make a low budget movie for 2 years and then go back to Pixar.

he is obvious talented.

eh not sure about this...loved the first one. But I think the story was told properly. Sequel not needed

Pixar normally does sequels only when they like the story, Cars may seem like it was Pixar selling out but i was nothing more than them liking the concept and the characters, if they trully sold out they would have made more Toy Story movies already. But that doesn't mean it's not a bad idea for them to not let some of their characters go, Resident Evil movies are still being done because Anderson likes the s***y story and characters, not because it makes much money.

Pixar is begining to drop in quality, i didn't watch Brave or Cars 2 yet, but from what i heard Brave's negative critics have been because critics prefered the father and son storylines rather than daughter and mother, which seems kind of sexist of the critics.

Cars 1 wasn't as bad as people gave it credit for, i loved how it trully felt like the roads of the USA, Cars 2 seems in the least entertaining but reviews of 38% don't give me much hope. I never really cared much for Finding Nemo in the first place, it was good but not a Pixar film i'm in a rush of watching again.

The only Pixar film i ever found a sequel could be done was Incredibles, but ironically it's the only film they won't make sequels for. I hope they stop making so many sequels and Prequels and just make more movies like Wall-E and Up, they were some of their most recent works that i like more.

In the whole i liked all of their films (i still can't say anything about Cars 2 and Brave as i didn't watch them) but i'm not interested in Sequels or Prequels, i want original works, Brad Bird also need to go ahead and finally do his long promised Live-Action film based on the San Francisco earthquake of 1906.

Im starting to think pixar is running out of ideas. Just looking back since Wall E there movies have gotten less and less interesting and dont get me started on the very heavy opeing of UP that was suppose to be a kids movie. Toy Story 3 was a big exception. Brave seemed on the surface like a cheap cash in on the success of how to train your dragon from the accents to the look and environment.

We are going to get a sequel to every ****ing Pixar movie except for The Incredibles, I just know it.

I feel you Drizzle.I haven't seen Cars 2. Don't really care to see Monster University. The only other Pixar movie I can think of that was ripe for a sequel was The Incredibles.

INCREDIBLES 2. INCREDIBLES 2. ALL THEY NEED TO DO IS INCREDIBLES 2. I DON'T WANT TO SEE CARS SEQUELS, I DON'T WANT TO SEE FINDING NEMO SEQUELS, WE. WANT. INCREDIBLES. 2!!!11!!1!

That is all.
The Incredibles is the only Pixar movie Id be up for a sequel. But I prefer they stop with the sequels.

Yeah, they need to move on, keep up with the original ideas and do their planed "The Untitled Pixar Movie that Takes You Inside the Mind" and "The Untitled Pixar Movie About Día de los Muertos"

Incredibles 2 is the ONLY sequel i really want out of Pixar. Finding nemo 2 is really odd to me and a silly idea

Hangover 2 was the same movie as the first and it made money,so its easy to trick people into watching the same stuff

Pixar has officially sold its soul.
Not really, despite the fact that they have churned out a few sequels, it's not like they're a franchise factory like Dreamworks Animation or Blue Sky Studios.

They've done the following:

Toy Story 2
Toy Story 3
Cars 2
Monsters University

You have a point about Pixar not churning out endless sequels like Blue Sky's Ice Age series and a planned Rio 2. (Yes, the latter is happening!) But I think Pixar is starting to lose their magic touch, and they're starting to lose focus over what made them good in the first place.

That is true, but in least they're making sequels because they feel like they have the right story to do so instead of doing for the sake of creating franchises to get more money.

cars 2 sucked, monsters U will miss the key element that is boo, and the one sequel we all want incredibles 2 still hasn't happened

Was Cars 2 as bad as everybody is saying? From the trailers it seemed in least entertaining, and i heard it's still better than most Dreamworks movies.

Either way, here's hoping Pixar finds their way again and they can deliver some originality even with these sequels and prequels:

sequel should not be called finding nemo 2 imo

keep nemo in the title but dont make it finding nemo 2 so they are not stuck in the same crutch of finding him
