Another Reason why Activision Sucks

The biggest question mark I have about Guitar Hero 5 is why Hugh Hefner and his girls are such a large part of the ad campaign, what does Playboy have to do with Guitar Hero?

It's just a sequel to this commercial these guys have nothing to do with guitar hero either

The best part is the song they used in those commercials isnt even on a guitar hero disc. It's up as DLC now, but it took about 2 months after the commercials started airing for them to put it up.
 
Just so you know, Activison is now claiming that GH5 outsold the Beatles 5-1. If you look at the actual numbers, this is total bulls**t, and GH5 sales dropped 50% the week Beatles came out. The only reason they've sold more copies at this point is because of their week long head start.

Wow! That's some hardcore ********. It's funny how the peripherals don't last at ALL for these games. I have World Tour and the drums have busted twice. Don't get me started on the Rock Band guitars..

At the Best Buy where I work, both our GH5 and Beatles Rockband have been decimated.. DECIMATED. :whatever:
 
The RB1 guitars and WT drums are probably the worst made peripherals for any games, ever. And the ones that are in store being used by hundreds of careless people a day are bound to be destroyed.

RB has improved their guitars with every iteration though, and the Beatles ones in particular seem to be pretty well made. We won't know if Activision improves their terrible drums until Band Hero (btw, HA HA HA HA HA HA, Band Hero feat Taylor Swift, wtf ha ha ha ha ha) comes out.
 
Yea, but Band Hero has Don Mclean's "American Pie" which guarunteed that I'll be buying it. I've been asking for either franchise to get that song for ages now.

Oh, and I personally like Taylor Swift, but to each his own.
 
I have a friend who absolutely loves Taylor Swift.. she's a girly girl.. -cough.- Anyway, she plays a TON of guitar hero/rock band suprisingly, haha. I told her about this and she wants me to buy it. :X!

"Hi! I'm Taylor Swift! Listen to me sing this song about how I'm a teenage girl who pines for guys who just aren't that into me!"

If you're not a teenage girl and you like Taylor Swift, there is something f**king wrong with you.

Also, if a song is good and in Guitar Hero, and not part of some exclusivity deal, you can guarantee it showing up in Rock Band as DLC at some point. So you buy your terrible Band Hero game, and play all the Pink you want, and I'll just spend two dollars on American Pie when it comes out as DLC for RB.
 
With GH's Creation Tool, has anyone actually created a really good song yet?? To be honest, I've never checked that out before.

And yeah, I 100% agree with you on Taylor Swift.. haha. Best Buy has a deal with her for their "@15" program to get teens into the stores I guess? Which means we have to watch and listen to her crap at our meetings all the time. >l

Thaks for that, I'll log that away. You really should work on becoming a little more open minded and not so knee-jerk reactionary.

She is pretty good, writes her own music, and plays her own intruments. Plus what you described as her music means you obviously don't know what she writes.

When you're a grown up, you realize that each person has their own tastes, and that's ok, and that there is no need to judge one another based on those tastes...especially when all this stuff is pure minutae.

Rock Band is minutae, Guitar Hero is minutae, and your opinions are minutae. There are more important things in this world to focus that passion and energy. Maybe in a few years you'll understand that.

No need. I don't rely on the opinions of others to know what I like. My wife and two kids are the only opinions I take into account.

When Joker has kids, it will mellow him out a bit. It's then that you realize that there are more important things than putting that much hatred into a game or game company. All are greedy corporate thugs that just want out money. Just find the one that you prefer and stick with it, and ignore the other one, that's all you have to do. Or you can be like some and enjoy both for what they are. By enjoying both games, I have access to the best of both worlds music wise. Plus it doesn't matter what game I'm playing at the time, my family and I have fun regardless.

Wow, these special editions are getting more and more rediculous anymore.

The Batman: AA was silly, and the MW2 special editions are downright ludicrous.
 
I thought about getting the Console Special Edition.. but to be honest.. $400 can practically get me a ****ing laptop. Pass.
 
well Ill be trading in my current 360 plus a defective one and a couple games...so Im not dropping $400

That's good, haha. The two controllers with the game is a nice deal. 250 GB Harddrive is a complete overkill though.. haha.

Get the **** out of here, are they really? That's really cool, though I don't know if I could honestly sit through doing the entire song in one sitting
