so why did you make a thread about it?

it's only logical to go to your local doctor.

Maybe he doesn't have insurance.

Sometimes all the sounds in one of my ears fades and all I hear is a loud ringing. Do I have a bomb in my skull?

Cut your ears off. There are Demons trying to get to your brain!

now i know i'm not the only one

You know, that was my next guess. God damned demons.

i can clearly hear my breath in my left ear after a really really hard workout.
and i mean hear it, feel it, inexplicaby loud. it scares me :(

if you pay attention to the ringing it starts to get really loud and then you can hear other types of ringing

Sounds like you both could have Tinnitus. You should get a doctor to check it out. If it is Tennitus, it may be one of the treatable kinds.

If serious enough, it may be the type of ringing that remains permanent.
Get it checked out immediately.

Yes, I do; it's from playing in a loud heavy metal band.

I heard somewhere that after listening to loud noise, you will get a loud ringing at a high frequencey and after that you can never hear that frequency again. I've done it to myself so many times. I'm finally starting to turn the volume down a little.

That's sort of right. Once you lose some hearing (like at a concert), you'll get most of it back, but never all. And it's cumulative. The more it happens, the less you'll have after each time because you never get back 100% of what you lost.

I get it every now and a gain.
I'm pretty sure I'm losing my hearing.

I had it real bad a couple of weeks ago. It was constant and everytime I tried to sleep it got louder and louder. Got eardrops took a while but it cleared, well it cleared when I jumped in a pool! I hear it every now and then, its incredibly annoying. Go to the doctor.

I've had ringing in my ears for years. I've lost about 45% of my hearing though and they tell me it's normal for me. Bah...just reading this thread and thinking about made my ears ring. :csad:

i have a ring... it's from when I was in band as well, but I just tune it out now

I have that, my doc said its Tinnitus and its because I used to work in a cargo warehouse and next to cargo planes. But the thing is is that I've had it since I was a kid.

moral of the story = doctors are evil

Its called "The Hum" some people in the USA and Europe report hearing a humming noise that does not go away.No matter where they go,they hear it.It can keep them from working, and even effect their lifes. Its rumored to come from US submarines using sonar.
