In a boneheaded move, I assumed that by this time 12:01 IMAX showings of TDK wouldn't be sold out in my area. Well, there are two IMAX theaters within 20 minutes of me, and they're both completely out of tickets.

Now I'm seeing it with my buddy at 3:10 AM (we both agreed we wouldn't be able to wait until Friday). Anyone else wait too long to get their tickets and are now going to a ridiculous showtime?

I want to go to the 6AM if it happens in my town. It just means I wake up an hour earlier than normal 4 instead of 5 and still get work on time.

Ya man that sucks but Im an early bird and I got the worm!

Me! I was actually away at a camp when tickets went on sale, but when I got back, the midnight showing was sold out here in Houston.
So, like you, I bought a ticket for the 3:00 a.m. showing, but later decided to see it at 10:20 Friday night.

I don't really mind though, considering it's just one more day of the many, many months we've waited.

^
You got balls, I cant even wait another minute!

I got my midnight tickets around the time they came out

I bought five tickets the day tickets went on sale (For myself, two brothers, sister, and a friend) then my four friends bought their tickets that same day. That Monday my other two friends bought tickets. That Tuesday three of my other friends tried to buy tickets but they were sold out by then. You snooze you lose! I'm going to have a big group going with me...ha.

I got all my tickets on time, and now they sold out
It's gonna be sweet being there at midnight with devoted batfans

closes imax is 2 hours away but im just gonna see it in a regular theater, i got my ticket, for the thursday 12:01 am showin, cant wait, gonna be off the chain

My theater still hasn't sold out (surprisingly), but I was not going to miss the midnight showing. The tickets are sitting on my dresser...waiting.

I didn't take any chances. I kept checking repeatedly on the IMAX website to see when my theatre put tickets up for sale. Nothing was gonna deny me midnight TDK!

Mine are in my wallet on me at all times, to protect that from any evil-doing.

The tickets are sold out? This is madness.

Madness..? THIS.. IS.. CLEVER MARKETING CAMPAIGNS AND ATTRACTIVE TRAILERS REACHING THE FANBASE AND THE GENERAL AUDIENCE IN ORDER FOR TICKET SALES TO REACH A VERY HIGH PEAK WHERE UNFORTUNATELY THE LATECOMERS WILL FIND THEMSELVES UNABLE TO FIND SEATSAAAAAA!!!

*kicks diesmiling into a batfilled well*

I wasn't going to wait. I bought 8 tickets online as soon as I realised they were on sale, and then figuring that wouldn't be enough, went down to the IMAX the next day and bought another 6 :P

I'm from Southeast Missouri, and the demand for movie tickets and presales are...well..in short...very low. So of course, I bought a presale ticket for the first showing at 11:59 p.m on Thursday the 17th. Knowing that this will make no difference for seeing the movie, I could have as well just went at 10 pm. Thursday of the showing and bought a ticket and still wouldn't have had a problem of the movie selling out.

But just in case it does...I have a ticket.

ya i waited too long like an ass. the imax showin at midnight and every showing on the 18th sold out as well so my wife bought us 2 tix to the normal theater for midnight showing and then she said its ok we will go back on like the 19th and see it in imax i was happy she wanted to go back and see it in imax again too lol even though we will know the whole movie lol

With all jokes aside guys, don't worry.

I chose to buy tickets for 6 45 on July 18th..it's still opening day and by the time all the midnighters are done seeing the movie well all have something to look forward to still!!

At least thats how i see it.

they put the tickets up for navy pier imax like a week before they put them out for the rest and i went to buy tickets literally like five minutes after they went on sale and midnight show was already sold out, so yeah, im going to a 3 am....i dont know how people got the tickets so fast.
