Anyone Else With Moore?

Being 'faithful' shouldn't mean a perfect panel for panel copy. Thats why I feel Sin City and 300 miss the point. It shouldn't matter if you completely change plot elements. You can completely mess around with all of the components (like the X-men movies) and still achieve something great if the spirit of the source material is still there.

X-Men was not adapting a self contained story.

I think Moore shouldn't be so vehemently nasty about it all when even if he doesn't agree with what they're doing, the people involved with the movie are putting in plenty of effort to make something decent. Also, cursing people is just mean. (He might not have actually done that, but thought I'd mention that it's not nice is he did.)

However, though I am excited to see the movie and how it turns out, and am sure it'll be fun and cool to watch the comic come to life, I think the film adaptation is kind of redundant. What's the point in producing a copy of something just in a different medium when the original is just fine? And I don't want Watchmen to be changed in any adaptation, so I figure it makes the most sense to just leave the book alone. Hopefully the movie will be faithful and still stand on its own. And it sounds like it will be... But I do hope there's not even half as much slo-mo as there was in 300, and I'll just have to wait and see about that.
