Anyone here truelly satisfied with the Nintendo Wii?

heres the thing.. with programing these games its just a matter of what button does what.. the only thing they gotta develop is motion... (wich sony is doing as well but with the classic 2 hands on one controller) wich would still be used on the GC style wii.. so programing for either or wouldnt matter unless of course u needed more buttons. it is a revolution the shape of the controller makes no difference

and for the record.. im not saying use the GC controlers... im saying they'd build a wii one similar to the mock up with the motion sensor still inside

But then Nintendo is taking a step back. Thbey are trying to step back from controllers and replace them with these. Their goal is to essentially make a push so the industry keeps going further in this direction. The developers (as right now anyway) seem enthusiastic about this control and are going only this way and of course Intendo isn't going to do it.

You may prefer the original controller but Nintendo would be surrendering their edge of "revolution" and that is something I'll doubt they'll do. Sure it could still have motion snesors but then it becomes about just tilt control while pushing buttons (a last minute rip off in PS3 that is only there for most likely flight simulation games and to try and rip off Wii) but to have it be pushed by sword slashes, gun tilting and aiming, motion steering, etc. is what the Wii is pushing for.

You may not like it but seriously don't expect a second controller because Nintendo would never do that and the developers don't seem to be complaining either.

I would just like to say that I think the Wii will be great. That's all I have to say. I can't say I'm satisfied or not because I haven't played it yet.

Gamestop updated their Wii & PS3 pages saying Pre Orders & Bundles are happening soon

mario kart uses more then 4 buttons... accel, break, fire, skid or hop (if they ever bring that back) and if they piggy back you need a button to switch them like in double dash.
There are 4 buttons. B on the back, A, 1, and 2 on the front. I'd assume they'd have you hold the remote horizontally like in Excite Truck.

I'm really struggling not buying my 360 camera and games or DS games to save up for this :(

Christ I need another 'yob' :cmad:

There's also Z and the two buttons on the nunchuck

I seriously cannot wait for this thing.

Gammy, I've noticed you are one of the most frequent posters on the Marvel UA board, you getting it for the Wii or another console?

i never said i didnt like it.. id just prefer having 2 hands on something wrather then having arm or wrist cramps after waving my arm around after spending hours on a video game... i plan on getting a wii no matter what. and i dont think making two different controlers is a step back at all.

Hey :O
Well, I'm definitely getting the 360 version, since I want the game as soon as it's released, and also, I feel that I would feel better with the 360 control scheme when I play that game.

Not knocking the Wiimote in any way (I actually love Nintendo and cannot wait to get the Wii), but yeah, I feel I'll enjoy the 360 pad much more with this game.

Fair enough but I doubt you'll have hand troubles. You don't have to make the sweeping movements seen in the previews (it seems mostly to add to the fun affect which I plan to do) but a flick of the wrist is as usable as a whole arm movement.

I just doubt Nintendo will do that but keep open-minded about the Wii though.

I am open minded about the wii.. and i think its great for some people.. but not all people

I'm a Nintendo fan boy. The next gen console's that will own are Wii60. Without a doubt. PS3 will fail.

That being said... Nintendo needs to FORCE every third party game to have online play. There is no reason for games not to be online enabled. To me, thats the deal breaker.

We Sports should be online enabled. Tennis woulda been so fun, same with boxing.

Online is fun, but it's not always a deal breaker. Only a select few of the population go online to play games. Granted, it's getting more popular but most of my boys prefer to just play at their own joints, invite guys over, that type of thing. It's still a fad to a lot of people.

i think there addin too many things like the tv channels to justify the lack of graphic power, but most people dont want either they just want a database of games that is as simplistic as itunes

Hey, you can use the classic controller for GC games, right?

I don't think so b/c the classic controller doesn't have a Z button (I think) and it has to connect to the Wii mote. It can't connect directly to the Wii.

game cube controllers have a Z button.. thats what gammy ment by classic right?
