Anyone reading the new Martian Manhunter series?

I've been reading and I think it's very cool premise. However I don't know why Jon just won't tell the JLA and let them help? Also how didn't mention his buddies killed those people. All in all though good stuff love the new costume too.

I was, but I stopped. It just didn't retain enough of my attention, and I really can't see any of these status quo changes actually sticking around.

I love the new costume, even though his old look is a classic. As for the story, it didn't really hook me, and the addition of more Martians just kinda sucks.

The only other Martians there should be are the White Martians.

It's just a bad call all around.

I'm giving it another issue or two before I actually deep six it but after that it's gone.

It's only 8 issues long, and with 4 already released you're essentially threatening to drop it after issue 6??? Good luck with that; you'd be better off sticking it out til the end.

I read issue #1 and liked it, but it sounds like it doesn't stay good for too long

And it's true, it does change the status of MM... but you know what, how many MEANINGFUL books was he appearing in over the last 5 years where his character did anything? JLA and that's all. And even in that, he was boring in many cases.

Nothing.

It's the content of those 8 issues that I've decided not to continue with.

I don't like anything about the first 4 and I'm stopping there.

Cool i didn't know it was 8 issues either i was thinking of dropping now i'll probably finish the run. I think DC was just kind of testing the waters. I hope the costume stays and more alien look he shouldn't hide who he is. There were alot of great ideas in this book but it's just not gelling. Like developing weapons on martian abilities that is something that we would really do i think?
