does anyone know or have a list of all the comics that dealt with his last return. im looking for back issues and i wanted to know if other comics dealt with it besides "X-Men" since im pretty sure i saw the avengers in their.

The only tie in were two issues of Cable & Deadpool. I don't recall the issue numbers, but it shouldn't be hard to find. Thing is though, they didn't really add anything to the story and was more of a prequel to the story. It isn't necessary in the slightest.

Other than that there's some reading that leads into it non-apocalypse related and had to do more with the X-Men and what leads to some of the horsemen becoming horsemen. I'm specifically thinking of the two issues just prior to the Apocalypse storyline (and the Bizarre Love Triangle arc a few issues prior to that). And then the last six issues of Rogue's ongoing (6-12).

its not even worth tracking down as the story stunk

Matter of opinion. I thought it was pretty good, but then, I'm not very judgemental and enjoy most things.

you actually liked BoA? Man that was the worst Apocalypse story IMO and really made him look like a joke. That return wasnt worthy of A and he lost credibility there. It also did some damage to several other characters, namely Gambit. There simply wasnt anything good about the arc at all

It certainly wasn't one of his top storylines, but it was decent. I was entertained, and that's enough for me.

The Cable & Deadpool issues are 26 and 27. The two issues before "Blood of Apocalypse" were a two-part story called "What Lorna Saw." It was about this green alien blob thing that Lorna saw in space during the "Golgotha" arc (Milligan's first, I think). It didn't have a lot to do with the Apocalypse story.

I didn't like the arc anyway. The ideas were interesting, but the execution was bad, the dialogue was bad, and it didn't amount to anything.

What Lorna Saw was a complete waste of time and the worst arc that Milligan wrote during his time on the title

Apocalypse has been completely ruined for me by late 90's stories and Milligan stuff. I never want to see that loser again.

The main story of "What Lorna Saw" had nothing to do with the Apocalypse story, but the ending regarding Lorna, and then several side stories tied in... such as with Gazer and Pulse's inclusion in the team, which led to his semi-important role in the conclusion of the Apocalypse storyline.

And I thing I was most interested in the idea of the story. The only dialogue that really got to me was Apocalypse himself and his self doubt. I felt that Milligan had a lot of great ideas in the story, but he did fail on some execution... such as I believe that his reasonings and leading up to of Gambit becoming a horseman was belieable... however, he didn't pen it to paper well enough to make it fly.

And as for it not amounting to anything. There were definately some lingering storylines from that arc that's played out or will be played out...

1) Gambit and Sunfire are under Sinister, and that will play out in the upcoming "Mutant Messiah" crossover event.

2) Polaris was given her powers back (or a varient of it) and she's had them ever since.

Yeah, that's about it I guess.

One thing I did like that nothing came of, however, was the character "Pulse." I didn't like him at first, but thought he came into his own during that arc. When we realized that though he was really into Rogue, but not like Mystique was wanting, and that he was a thief with a cool power, but was a little bit of a coward (which could be neat if used well) I was sold on him. I was excited to see what would come of him and if he'd actually join the team. Sadly, after that arc he vanished to be never mentioned again. I like Carey, but it sucks that he just went and ditched the character and didn't even give a reason. I hate when they do that.

wow I thought I was the only one that liked Pulse and felt he had potential. I think alot of peple hated him simply bc he wasnt Gambit. I didnt care. I was really interested in seeing more of him and it sucks that he left so soon

Well, one has to admit that the reason *would've* been believable had Remy been, hum, an idiot. Oh well.

but at the time he WAS an idiot...and he is one anytime he is trying to bone death-girl

Long story short... Damn near nothing happened outside of Gambit joining Sinister. Polaris went evil, came back, and basically got her old powers back in one horribly contrived roundabout way. Apocalypse showed up, got whomped AGAIN, and left. Pulse was introduced, and disappeared... It was just a terrible, terrible run.

I liked Pulse *adds him to my team of Limbo X-men*

Eh. He was nothing but a bad plot device that was made by combining a few other character's powers.

Amen.

Depowering people and just so happening to be someone Rogue can touch. If that isn't paraphrasing 'plot device', I don't know what is. :woot:

of course he was a plot device...i mean there is always a plot device dropped in to get between gambit and rogue, *cough*belladonna*cough* *cough*joseph*cough*

Joseph... *gags*

Belladonna I can (somewhat) deal with all that mystical thief clan crap, but, man, did we really need J???

Nah, Diet Magneto is what we've had for the past 15-20 years.

J qualifies as uber.

The worst part being that he was the seemingly never-ending plot device that stayed with the team for what felt like ages.

And then they just offed him and erased essentially everything he did, making it all a waste of my time.
