Most, if not, ALL of the clown videos online of them running towards people are faked. We'd be seeing more arrests and media outlets if such things happened for real. Right now it's just people dressing up as clowns and walking around for giggles.

if any of you are looking for fun alternatives to grease paint, a white knee high stocking works pretty well.

1. pull it over your head
2. lightly trace your eyes w/ a pen or marker
3. lightly draw an approximation of a smile
4. remove the stocking
5. cut out eye holes; using the pen outlines as your guide
6. pull the stocking back over your head
note: you'll immediately notice streaks forming in the stocking. but it's part of the effect/go with it
7. now that you can fully see out of your pre-mask, you can finish painting your clown face (make sure to let it dry before removing it)

throw on a colorful punk wig (you'll find them all over most Halloween costume shops). you now have a really creepy earless clown face. the stocking naturally distorts your feature. the streaks will make you look unhinged. and the material is thin enough that you can see your smile behind it; in the dark.

I heard about a 12 year old kid who did the same in Florida and they charged him as an adult. Going around making threats as a joke is wrong, but ruining this kid's life isn't going to solve anything.

I saw a facebook video of a bow hunter in his deer stand getting trolled by a clown with a knife. I can't imagine that ended well for the clown.
