Cobra, a militaristic organization, has embedded itself all throughout the United States as well as the globe. Their sole mission: creating chaos and anarchy, and gaining power through terrorism and extortion, and not stopping until the governments of the world have toppled, and Cobra reigns supreme.
It's leader, the enigmatic and charismatic man known only as Cobra Commander, has convinced like minded individuals to join him on his crusade, rallying around him not only an army of soldiers, but a formidable cabinet of powerful personalities to help govern the growing organization. Now, with the pieces in place, Cobra Commander appears to be set to make his first strike in his war against the world...
In order to combat this growing threat, the United States government has issued the creation of a special team of elite soldiers, hand picked from the other military branches.
Chosen by the President of the United States to run the project is the highly decorated Briganier General Lawrence J. Flagg. Flagg immediately went about selecting a field leader and commander for the team, one Colonel Clayton Abernathy, codename: Hawk.
Hawk accepted the job and has begun his first mission of his new career: going out and recruiting the soldiers he deems worthy to become members of Special Counter-Terrorist Group: Delta, which would become affectionately known to the world at large as the G.I. Joes...
What will this RPG bring to the RPG forums? (please write two complete sentences): Loosely based off the comics universe (loosely in the sense that we're starting from the beginning), this RPG will allow players to roleplay in a rich, fictional world of intrigue, espionage, and intense military action and drama. Players choose from the myriad of characters from the comic universe and are able to play them from their origin on.
