HERE IS THE EXPLANATION I GAVE ABOUT HIM!!!up:

HE'S SET IN THE MARVEL UNIVERSE, HE'S A MUTANT IN THE CURRENT TIME LINE, BUT I'M GONNA SET HIM IN PREHISTORIC TIMES IN LINE WITH HIS ORIGIN IN THE PICTURE!!! YOU SEE ORIGINALLY HE CAME FROM THE SAVAGE LANDS, SO I'M SETTING HIM IN PREHISTORIC TIMES, IT'S KIND OF A TWO FOR ONE DEAL, LOL!!!up: I HAVE AN ORIGIN STORY FOR HIM BUT IT'S TOO LONG TO POST HERE!!! IF I HAVE TIME TO ENTER THE CONTEST, WHEN I POST THE PICTURE, I'LL POST A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF HIS ORIGIN!!! HE WAS A WHITE SABRE TOOTHED TIGER, (THINK THUNDERCATS, BUT MORE CAT THAN HUMAN) BUT HIS SKIN COLOR WAS TRANSFORMED DURING HIS ORIGIN AND HIS FUR IS NOW RED AND WHITE!!! HIS BLOOD WAS LITERALLY PUSHED THROUGH HIS PORES OUT OF HIS BODY AND STAINED HIS OUTER FUR A METALLIC RED COLOR!!! HIS BLOOD WAS PUSHED OUT BY AN ALIEN CALLED A SPHEER, ( THINK OF A SHAPE SHIFTING BASKETBALL SIZED SPHEER MADE OUT OF LIVING LIQUID METAL)!!! THE ALIEN ITSELF BECAME HIS BLOOD, HIS NAME IS "STEEL BLOOD!!!"

LOL, THANKS AGAIN!!! UUUMMM, I USED A DIGI CAM TO TAKE THE PIC, SO I ZOOMED IN ON STEEL BLOOD, BUT THE ACTUAL SIZE OF THE MATT BOARD IS 16"X20", IT'S NOT TOO BIG, BUT IT'S BIG ENOUGH THAT I COULDN'T SCAN IT SO HENCE THE DIGI CAM PIC!!!up:

Finally, i made the deadline!:
heres my entry, and i know i suck at colouring

Its spiderman set in the times of feudal japan, as a Samurai.
Parachochi Peter was living an ordinary life with his Aunt Mai and Uncle/Sensei Benjaira until he encountered demon Spider God Arachnos, who granted him amazing powers. Only hours adter, his Sensei was murdered by the village thief. His goal then was to seek revenge for his beloved Sensei and prevent any injustices from occuring to the innocent, by becoming Arachna-san

greetings hypesters!

long time visitor to & fan of the site, first time poster. been meaning to get round to entering one of these contests for about two years... well here it is!

i'm a big hellboy fan & i'm a brit & ancient history nut, so re-imagining red as a celtic/ancient briton warrior seemed like quite a cool prospect. however, hellboy's image as a big red devil is distinctly influenced by western christian representations of devils [albeit influenced by the greek god pan] so i wanted to redesign hellboy in a way which fitted in with celtic mythology. turns out, the celts had their own "horned god", who had antlers, and according to celtic lore, white stags have magical powers. hence my design. hope you like it...!

Really love this one, love the level of detail behind it (and I can understand it from a fellow ancient historian nut). Shame you didn't break off some of the ends of the antlers to go with Hellboy's look - but that would have really retracted from the point of him having them and not just standard horns. But anyway well done, I love it.

i'd like to see your character work, no matter the state. that's kind what this is all about. i'd love to see a flare-free version, if you're willing to post it...

and I hope you keep entering! (maybe im wrong, but next month's theme almost HAS to have something to do with Spidey 3, which sounds like heaps of fun to me, as we'll all have seen it before we start our pics!)

Finally decided to enter, no longer a part of greek mythology its Egyptian Wonder Woman. I was working on a Viking Wonder Woman but I sketched this and just stuck with it. I'm not much of a colour expert so I just did this but I may have time to do a background.

Dude I think you should really add some cleavage because right now it kinda looks like wonderman(great design though)
