Speculate on what role he plays in the movie

I think Aquamoa will be a bit of a low-key antagonist during parts of the film, but will be brought into the fold by the end. I don't know how much he will actually be in the film, but I hope it ties him in enough to build his character a bit.

There was that rumour Aquaman will be pissed at Supes because the World Engine destroyed life in the Indian Ocean.

I could see him being used very briefly as a parallel to Superman and an example of Superman continuing to deal with having to be patient.

Maybe after an opening hero scene in Metropolis, Supes hears something and zooms off to the other side of the world, where he encounters Arthur. Superman asks him where he's from and that he could use his help, but Arthur refuses. Instead, he threatens Superman not to tell the world about his existence. Arthur explains that he can see how things will play out as the world has become aware of people like them, and when s hits the f, he doesn't want his people to be anywhere near. He advises Supes to go back to his world as well, and he and slips back into the ocean. Supes then zooms back to the Daily Planet, where he mentions nothing to Lois.

Perhaps Aquaman appears in an ending montage as well, showing up to the first JL meeting after Supes' big sacrifice.

End of movie cliffhanger. Aquamoa emerges from sea with forces of Alantis to wage war with the surface.

Ths effectively casts him as an antagonist until they all team up against a common threat. Aquaman film will be his back story up to that point.

Why else would they start throwing things out like, "Can go toe to toe with Superman...Trident can cut Supes flesh..." The initial encouter will be a conflict and stage will be set at the end of this film.

I think we get teaser towards ending. I doubt he's in movie.

While he seemed an unlikely candidate for reinvention in the 21st Century, the '80s Batman villain The KGBeast recently appeared in an issue of Aquaman and the Others, apparently having had a past with the group. "We had already planned the story and this particular issue was written when the conflict with Ukraine blew up," Aquaman and the Others writer Dan Jurgens explained to us last month when the issue was on the stands. "It all kind of verified my instincts, especially as the thirst for Russian nationalism emerged."
Why's that relevant to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice? Well, the same film that yesterday had a dressing room marked for Kahina, presumably the precognitive member of The Others, apparently has one marked "Knyazev" as well.
That's according to Filming in Chicago, the Twitter account that's been taking, or aggregating and retweeting, dozens of images from the set of the superhero blockbuster for the last couple of days.
Of course, while Anatoli Knyazev -- codename: KGBeast -- most recently duked it out with Aquaman and company in the comics, his character may be better known outside of comics as a member of the Suicide Squad in the well-received animated feature film Batman: Assault on Arkham or even as Oliver's Russian confidant on Arrow.
That the latter features the Suicide Squad so heavily might call into question whether the immediate assumption that Kahina and KGBeast are in any way connected. There is, after all, a feature film being cast around the Suicide Squad and, reportedly, Batman V Superman's Jesse Eisenberg will play a role as Lex Luthor.
With more than one, previously unannounced, DC Comics character being "revealed" via wardrobe rooms, though, one has to wonder whether this is in fact something else entirely. Could Warner Bros. be attempting to misdirect fans and the press -- either just to add to and water down the ever-growing pile of rumors surrounding the nascent DC Cinematic universe, or for a more specific goal like hiding the true identities of an actor if s/he were seen coming and going from one of those rooms. At least one story has already made its way online speculating whether Jena Malone might be Kahina, rather than Robin, so without judging whether it's likely, you can see that such a strategy could be effective.
We'll see on (or around) March 25, 2016, when Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice makes its way into theaters.

:hmm

Should Aqumana already be King of Atlantis when he's introduced here?

I think they're going with a variation of Throne of Atlantis and Geoff John's New 52 take on the character. So nope.

Mamoa talks on being Aquaman.

Judging from this Aquamans roles seems to be more substantial than a Cameo.

I want scene with Bruce and Clark where Bruce introduces him to other gods/meta humans he was watching for years a la Nick Fury JL initiative.

I hope Bats and Supes battle it out by the ocean and then Aquaman busts out of the water all badass like that to confront them. If something like this happens then it will probably be during or after the climax

I still think its a cameo but now it looks like he is already King and i kinda doubt arthur curry in name is in this DCCU i think he will be with his atlantean name Orin. I think this aquaman has probably been an atlantean all his life and was never arthur curry.

I think it's a cameo too but it's so mysterious as to why Zack would slap this up. I'm not complaining because this was number 2 on my list of things that I wanted to see (next to BvS teaser).

It looks good...but not GREAT. It still has that joyless, lifeless look that more recent DC films have had...the color tone is just so meh.

If you can't figure out DC's motives by now and the tone they are going for in their Cinematic Universe then you never will. THIS is their tone. Not sure how that's lifeless. It's a badass Aquman holding his Trident looking like he's ready to not only defend his throne, but maim for it. We're not going to get the primary; bright colors. We just aren't. Lovin' the gold there and you can see beneath that there's green in his suit as well. Aquaman was such a joke of epic proportion. To see this is GREAT.

DC is trying to create a mythological feel for their cinematic universe, since most of their characters have a god-like allure to them and have iconic trancendence to them.

He'll cameo at the very end and before everyone starts screaming credits roll.
