Are american women getting dumber?

Especially the better looking ones? I was recently watching tmz and one of their reporters were asking over half a dozen random women outside a night club in LA what year the 911 attacks took place and none of them could answer it. It really has to make you wonder. I'm curious to know if this stereotype is also true in other westernized countries or is it mostly isolated to just the US.

^Usually when tv shows do stuff like this they make sure to go to clubs and bars as opposed to corporate offices or schools. And it's only the ones that look the hottest.

Exactly. And those women do not represent all the women in America. There are many smart and beautiful women in this country too. But the thing is, when women who are beautiful have good jobs that requires them to utilize their brains, they're accused of getting the job just because they're 'hot'. It's like an alien concept that women can be both beautiful and smart.

I was thinking the same thing. There are some people out there who aren't really into current affairs, they're more into their fields of interest. Does that make them dumb? Not in my estimation.
