The kicker though is that they were married in the court house, so they had to bring in their boom box and play it. Mr. Mullet had a tear in his eye when it gets to the part at the end where the guitars stop and it's only the singing and the drum pounding.

You are correct that those indeed resemble mid-eighties Jersey mullets, but what your lesser refined eye has failed to reveal to you is that they are not ORDINARY mid-eighties mullets, but MIGRATORY mid-eighties mullets that started in Alabama but eventually moved North to New Jersey. What this resulted in was a marriage of not only two people who made poor life choices and even poorer hairstyle choices when they decided to host said mullets, but also a marriage of cultures where Bon Jovi and Lynrd Skynrd are equally revered and celebrated as appropriate for formal occassions.

Jesus came and was the fulfillment of the law as he said himself, so many things changed from the way they were. There was no grace (in the time of law) and sin was to be dealt with in a harsh way at the time. God was teaching us the penalty of sin in the OT but with Jesus in the NT, he taught us that he really didn't like the penalty of sin and wanted us to avoid that and gave us a way.

God showed us who he really was and what he wanted when the law became fulfilled in Christ.
