Amen to that. Dead End would've been good if it was just the joker.

Besides the Predator and Alien, DE sorta suffered from the simple fact it was a movie that...wasn't a movie. It didn't have a beginning, middle, and end. It had a pretty cool beginning, but after that it was pretty much a random series of events. It was plotless.

With WF, since it was a trailer to this big imaginary movie, it made it work. It didn't need a beginning, middle, and end, it just had to show a bunch of cool clips that hinted at a plot. And that, really, is what Collera does best.

Though as much as I hate how overrated this fan-film is, I will give credit where it is due. That short little scene where Bats jumps into a puddle of rain, and then slowly stands up is no doubt, in my top 5 best live-action Batman moments. Everything about that shot was just perfect, the lighting, the mood, composition, etc. Pure, iconic, Batman.

I so want that shot replicated in an official Batman film. It's just too great to go unnoticed by the mass audience.

C'mon guys, for what it was, it wasn't all that terrible. It never was meant to be a cohesive story. It was purely to show Collora's visual style. It was pretty much something Collora would shop around to show producers what he was capable of on a low budget. And, from what I understand, it worked, and he got a job on the strength of Dead End.

I actually hated the Worlds Finest trailer and Dead End is OK at best, seemed to get a lot of overhype when it was released because it was the best Batman on film we'd seen in quite a few years

i'd like to see one of you make a fanfilm that's half of what dead end was visually. and that's why it was made, to be exciting visually. story has little to do with it.

Yeah but the Director of Dead end had Experience. All im saying is that i just didnt feel like a batman movie.

i'd like to see one of you make a fanfilm that's half of what dead end was visually. and that's why it was made, to be exciting visually. story has little to do with it.

But a film is about more than mere visuals. I don't mean to get too complex about it - it is just a fan film - but after watching it, I'm always left unfulfilled. Sure the visuals are great, but the other things that make a film (even an 8 minute one) simply aren't there.
