Are You Afraid Of The Dark

An episode I remember being scared of was this guy saw himself on the other side of a window, except he was dead.

I’m fairly sure it was this show, but it might have been Tales from the Crypt.

I remember an ep kinda like that. What I remember, it was this teenage guy, and throughout the ep, no one really interacted with him but his younger sister, and this weird girl his age he meets at school who he suspects to be a ghost. Sure enough, she is a ghost, but the big twist is that he is also a ghost and no one can see him but his sister. He showed up to her the night he died with no memory of it, so she just went along with it to try and keep him in her life for longer.

Hmm, that could be it, it sounds similar, my memory is foggy of it.

I just remember as a kid being scared of it days after it aired lol

I only really remember the one with the guy who like is in this arcade and he puts quarters into this pingball machine. And at the end, he gets screwed over and is stuck in the machine as the old guy puts in a quarter and is about to kill him with a pingball.:wow:

Also, back in that time, Nick used to do these original music vids for their shows, and there was one for AYAotD that I remember, I don't remember the name, but someone would sing "Sombody scream" and they'd mix in some of the screams from the show. I've looked for that vid forever, but can never find it. Does anyone remember it and can help find it?

Yes. I remember that. When Nick was Awesome.

As for the dvd's. Only available in Canada, but USA shares the same region code (1) so you can import from Amazon.com But...looks like all the season are sold out.

Pinball Wizard is still my favorite episode.

Sometimes I watch a few ep's while at work, because most of them are on youtube. :o

I've watched The Dream Girl and Long Ago Locket yesterday on YouTube. Dream Girl was excellent, I'd recommend it to those who don't remember it or haven't watched it yet. Ive read the episode actually inspired M. Night's The 6th Sense.

Long Ago Locket was good, the best part being Will Friedle (Eric Matthews:D)was in it.

Ah! Are you Afraid of the Dark. I loved this show as a kid. Basically a kid-version Twilight Zone, but it had some really good stories.

The Tale of the Zombie dice is one of my favorite episodes, simply because of how the kid tricks the villain. It's a great idea, especially if you want to challenge you friends to a drinking game and bet on it

I remember this show. I do remember the Pinball episode.

I watch the episodes for this show sometimes. They still make me think that they were some of the best pieces of the horror genre for kids ever placed on television. Some of the scarier episodes made you think abit, especially the one with the cabin full of mirrors.

I remember that episode. The mirrors drained the house guests of their youth so that the owner could stay forever young. Very creepy.

Oh yeah, I remember that episode. That was a good one.

That's a yes. Sixth Sense was basically lifted directly from The Dream Girl.

Great show, really scared me as a kid.

I liked that episode with the evil wizard Goth. Were the kid falls under his spell.

And of course Zeebo the clown.

I think this should be turned into a horror movie. But then again hollywood would damage it.

One of the stories already has. The Tale of The Dream Girl was the inspiration for The Sixth Sense.

Edit: Whoops, wrong episode. Fixed it.

Incidentally, all of the episodes (or at least a lot of them) are available to watch on You Tube.

A piece of trivia for you. The "midnight dust" that the kids would toss into the fire to make it flare up with a puff of white smoke, was actually powdered non-dairy creamer.

So if you want to start your own "Midnight Society", or if you're out camping, telling ghost stories around the campfire, and you want to add some theatrics to your story, just toss a handful of Coffeemate into the fire.

I'm adding coffee mate to my grocery list
