Are you Canadian?

But, isn't it legal in most states to shoot someone who is tresspassing on your property? No questions? I think that's insane.

The fear of these bad guys shouldn't give the right for everyone to have a gun. This is just causing more fear for everyone else. Besides, how many kids die each year from having these guns in the houses? There's other ways to protect youselves without using such leathal force.
I don't know, I've never heard anything like that, maybe you can find me a link, but I don't think that's unheard of. Just because you're allowed, doesn't mean you do.

Not everyone has a gun, and not everyone has the right to even own one. I don't know, how many die each year? it's a lot less than you'd think, because that's something else that is overblown. There's a microchip thing that makes it so the gun can only be used by the owner and I think they should implement things like that. Like I said before, criminals will always have weapons, they'll always get them some way, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to protect your family.

I'll have to look up the correct definition of "Socialist" to see if it fits. Frankly I think we're the epitomy of "Liberal".

Granted we're taxed. However I believe Australia has the highest taxes in the world. I also think Americans pay taxes too and have to pay for hospitalization on top of that.

America stands on guard for us? What exactly are they guarding us against, the Mexicans? They don't protect any of our borders except the one between our country and theirs.
No, not "on top of that", it's just like you, you don't have free healthcare, I'm sorry, it's why your taxes are higher than ours.

Read it again. I used the words "possibility". True, in the past some of your political leaders were liked in some countries. But your overall foreign policies seem to keep getting your country lambasted in the presses of foreign nations.

Which country do you think poses more of a threat than the U.S.A? Your country has the most nuclear weapons, the highest funding for it's military, etc. I believe it was also the only country to consider putting military satellites into orbit. Admittedly China and Russia are close behind, but the USA seems to be developing a "shoot first investigate later" policy that I find frightening.
North Korea, Syria, China, Iran, Israel, all have a large array of weapons and more itchy trigger fingers than the US. Yes we spend the most on our military, because we have to, and it's worked out well for this country. You're wrong about the satellite thing, and what's wrong with that anyway? They already have stuff like that up there, and it's not big secret,I see them launch the stupid things. "USA seems to be developing a "shoot first investigate later" policy that I find frightening. " they've done it once, you're overblowing it. "But your overall foreign policies seem to keep getting your country lambasted in the presses of foreign nations." ...and yet, we still have allies. People still want our help, products, and money.

I'm not sure about that law either. It's actually something that I just assumed from watching TV and hearing the news and stuff. You always hear "If you don't get off my property, I'm gonna shoot you"... or somthing. Maybe it's just some states in the South or something.....

Not everyone has a gun in Canada either... but a whole hell of a lot of us do.... the difference between us is that where we have only 180 some odd gun deaths a year... America has 11 THOUSAND. Why is that?

That sounds more like a self defense thing, as a rule, I don't think people are allowed to just shoot others. Anyway, robbers and such are suing homeowners because they get hurt when trying to rob someone, it's ridiculous. Well, lets see...your population is smaller, would be the obvious answer.:p We're a different culture, clearly, and many of them are accidental which is a tragedy. However, you also have to consider where most of these gun related deaths occur. One such display of how our culture is different from many others is that like in European countries, they'd rate a movie a higher rating because of violence, whereas we would do it because of sex.

Do you ride the polar bear or the moose there? You barter with maple syrup? Rob stores with hockey sticks? Ah yes, we hear these stories as children.:o

We take the dog sled of course. And we don't have to rob the beer store with hockey sticks because (and this just between us) beer is free in Canada.

Unfortunately, modesty prevents me from telling you what we actually use maple syrup for.

Well that's interesting, I thought that beer was only free in Mexico, because of the water.

Ahhh those long winter nights with a few close friends and a jug of maple syrup... :D ;) There are definite advantages to longer nights, warm fires and maple syrup...

*lol* Thanks, I do many things "better" ;)

:) Glad to be of "service". I think many men enjoy being "serviced". *giggle*

:D Do any of those points require special attention?
