Ari Aster's "Beau is Afraid”

...after Joker?

Either you've been on the Phoenix train since 1999/2000 (like me) or at the latest 2010ish; you probably never will be.
You’re not wrong, but Joker was Phoenix’s highest grossing film by a lot. I’m sure there are quite a few people who were more or less out of the loop on him before who might pay a bit more attention to this than they would have otherwise.

Is it promo material or should we take it literally? :oldrazz:

So does this mean the title is Beau is Afraid again?

I'm disappointed that it's not called Disappointment Blvd.

Aster's short film "Beau" has a sequence in it that is straight out of nightmares I've had.

High hopes for this one, but from what I've heard it's a very weird, experimental script.

I feel like all of his feature films are leading us to his full length version of The Strange Thing About the Johnsons and I can't wait. lol

Oh God no…

Poor mods keep having to change the title of this thread.

I remember Hereditary hit out of nowhere for me...ever since I've kept an eye out for Ari. Midsommar was good but Hereditary is still my top. Excited to see where Beau will rank.

Hereditary is still my favorite horror movie ever. I loved Midsommar, need to watch it again but I’ve been holding out for a chance to see the extended version. This is something I’m seriously hyped for, though. It being billed as a horror-comedy just makes it more and more intriguing although, I’d likely bet that that’s just what people are calling it for lack of a better term.

I feel like this movie is gonna make me uncomfortably. Just like Hereditary and Midsommar! I'm ready.

Hereditary is a Damn masterpiece. I just rewatched it recently and it does nothing but get better and better each time. It’s also my favorite movie to show people when they tell me they like horror movies. Like, oh really? You gotta watch this then! Their faces during THAT scene are always great too.
