Ask A Question Above, Get The Answer Below VI - Part 4

Probably '94, I was working as a darkroom assistant for a photography studio and all the people in the lab were just the coolest nicest folks, I got to be in the special effects room for hours in the dark listening to music, I got to use the company car to run errands, pick up supplies, go to the post office, it was super fun and I got paid more than I was worth.

Who's your favorite celebrity couple?

Do you think that we actually go places when we sleep? Not physically, of course! But some "ethereal" (I don't want to say SOUL) part of us?

Scientifically speaking dreams are a reshuffling of all the days input, sorted into usable and unusable data, the brain is a mysterious instrument and what we don't know about it could fill millions of libraries. Lovely for the architect of the human body to feck off without giving us a proper users manual.

Any groups down there giving regular folks trouble (like the protestors here going crackers and jam) ?

Not really, no. Some askholes were burning face masks at the city centre but nothing big, really.

If you could be more like someone else, who would that be?

That's a hard pass, I know me very well and no matter who you are no matter who you think someone may be, inside them is a monster, I don't want to take on anyone else's demons, I've got enough of my own.

What is your monster like?

It's tiny but it grows and you may want to think that it is unharmful but he's VERY aggressive. It is definitely ragging mad.

The nickname you are most proud of?

Never had one I liked, most of them were designed to mock me, so the enthusiasm wasn't there.

Have you ever keyed a car or other mischievous acts of retribution?

It wasn't intentionally and not my proudest moment! I was 15, or so, and I really wanted to be part of the school camp (I already knew that they weren't going to pick me as one of the "leaders") and this teacher was taking advantage of the amount of work I was putting into it, Until one day she gave me this stack of papers -I was getting very tired of the whole situation- and I remember that I was eating a big piece of candy and there was an intense saliva-action going on in my mouth. It wasn't on purpose, I swear! But I drooled all over the papers. I said "Oh, I'm sorry" and left.

You?

A dirty little troll in High school my freshman year always called me a very dirty name as we passed in the halls between classes, it didn't matter which way I took he would be there with that word. So I bought a knife and for the next month solid I slashed a different teacher's tire in the parking lot, being careful to never get caught but always dropping a specific gum wrapper nearby. A friend of mine was good with the janitor and borrowed the master locker keys and I put the knife and a couple packs of that gum in there, then I had a random nerd drop that gum wrapper by the guys locker. An anonymous tip and a locker search later and he was gone. I don't get mad, I get even.

Favourite/least favourite foreign Beer?

No matter the nationality, the least favs are IPAs, way too bitter - Fav one: Heineken, Stella, Stella noir, Corona.

The names of your dogs?

Rocky (Huskey), Indy (Border Collie), Mercy (Cocker Spaniel), and PowPow (Shih Tzu)

When was the last time you visited the zoo?

About 6 years or so... Unless you count that attraction at Animal Kingdom, then 2 years. I don't like animals being outside their natural habitat, I think is sad, cruel, even. I get that I'm hypocrite because I say this but still willing to eat meat but that's between me and karma.

Least fav chore?

Clean the bathroom, I'm a bit of a neat freak and I just feel icky afterwards, often have to take a shower after. A close second and this is related to the time of year is chopping wood, man that can get tedious.

What job path would you consider but turn down for various reasons?

I wouldn't consider it a proper job: (but) I guess that something related to SM and creating content on a daily basis. That would make my anxiety levels to skyrocket immediately! Besides, there's the fact that you have to actually LIKE to people in order to "succeed", and at a certain point it feels/looks like begging.

The strangest thing you've seen in the woods? Not creepy ghosts, but maybe a crazy cabin, a weird looking animal

The strangest thing I ever saw up in the backwoods on a random hike had 2 associative parts that made the experience even more intense. This was around 10 or so years ago right around the end of October, I was just wandering around looking for a good spot for a blind because that weekend me and my uncle & cousins were going hunting. I sat down on a moss covered log and had a nice sandwich and a beer and I guess the carbs knocked me out, I woke up it was dark but I knew the way out so I wasn't nervous, I get out in the open and up on the ridge I see the biggest freaking black panther ever, that's not the right animal for this area I yelled to myself and prepped to haul azz down the trail... yeah there was more wrong about this cat, it was see through. I swear to this day I was stone sober and saw stars through this thing, that was enough for me I ran faster than I thought I could straight down banging off trees and rocks and getting all sorts of cuts and bruises, but I didn't get ate by a ghost panther! The 2 weird parts... my brother's kitten had died the day before, it was totally black. And it was Halloween night.

What really happens when you divide by zero?

The way it usually does with convenient plot devices and one thing leading to another and all that.

Would you go after your friends significant other if you thought they were better off with you ?

Oh, no... we both know that they are all better off withOUT me haha. But no, I wouldn't! My friends are like my sisters and I wouldn't do that to them, or to myself for that matter! Besides, thinking about them on an intimate situation, gives me the shivers.

Have you ever been presented with two hard choices at the same time?

I've been very lucky, everything has been pretty clear, either it's the wrong thing or the right thing. That said, I haven't always had the wisdom to make the right choice.

What do you think you have lost because of the pandemic this year, personally?

It all started 4 years ago when a friend of mine invited me to participate on this custom. Well, it's a national thing, a religious date: you can do it just to prove it to yourself that you can do it, because you Believe or you've made a promise or you want to thank for something you've asked (health, a miracle, a job, whatever that may be), etc etc. It basically consist on a very long walk (60 kilometers) from this common start point to the "Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Luján" -according to wiki-, our patron saint.

I've seen young people, old people, people on wheelchairs, drunk people, people not wearing the proper shoes for such a long walk, people sleeping on the ground because they were way too tired to keep walking, people crying because their body ache (after so many hours that's what you feel: PAIN, it all hurts! It usually takes us about 15/16 hours to get there) and cannot keep going. So many situations! But we all enjoy it nonetheless. The whole experience is rich, is beautiful! And when you think that you won't make it, you get there and you get to see this (usually at night):

What's your most "precious" possession?

I thought about it long and hard, I have a lot of little things I never want to lose but I know I will that's the nature of things, you get them and then you lose them either by theft or carelessness or death. Something precious to me that I will always possess is my imagination/creativity.

Say you want to put aside an object because it is precious to you and hide it away so that in the fullness of time it becomes a Legendary Item, what would that be and where would you hide it?

Life has taught me that the more you hide things, the more you are going to lose them. I have this silver ring my mum and sister gave me for my 25th birthday and although is very simple, many have complimented it and I'd love to pass it on to my daughter (should I ever become a mum) and I intend to wear it until the time comes.

My grandma had a ring that she wanted me to have and on her last days she asked someone to take her ring off and save it for her... it got lost.

The worst line ever, when you're on an intimate situation?

"Is it in yet?" Not relevant to me, but terrible nonetheless.

So what would a superhero TV show or movie have to do to get your interest specifically?

"Is it in yet?"
Uh, that's terrible! And I'm not even a guy... it hurts!

I have mixed emotions regarding superheroes: because I like them to win but it gets boring that they always do! For me, even an antihero (like Kick-ass, for example) can turn into a hero by conquering their fears, by getting up after being beaten almost to death, by trying once more. Also by failing.

Which villain do you think is the most misunderstood?

Victor Von Doom, for all his Universal Threat Supreme Dictator Mad Scientist stuff he's just a broken man trying to do the best for his country, lost his face and his love and that makes men do very dark things.

Once all this pandemic stuff is over what is the world going to look like?
