The Amazing Spider-Man ASM: Your favorite moments and scenes (spoiler heavy)

When he saves the kid and says I'm Spider-Man. For me it was really powerful because before that I was thinking he became Spider-Man way too fast and then once it got to that part it hit me... He wasn't Spider-Man yet until that scene. Not sure if anyone else feels that way but that's how I took it.

I agree. It wasn't until he finally did the unselfish thing to save an innocent person that he became Spidey. Him going after long haired blonde criminals is just personal and selfish.

When he realizes what he was told by Capt. Stacy and goes out to do good is when he truly becomes Spider-Man.

Yup. Despite the fact that Captain Stacy was a huge ****, he was right about a lot of things.

They did NOT KILL THE VILLAIN!

Warehouse scene, one of my favorite CBM scenes ever. As well as the subway, CROOOTCH, Cap's death, all the Flash scenes, first kiss, everything with Ben & May.. Ahh, so many.

yessss, very happy they didnt kill the bad guy

The fight going on during Stan Lee's cameo was epic on another level.

3- Peter asking Gwen out.. Badly.
2- Peter's reaction to destroying his bathroom.
1- The fight with Ben up to Ben's death... So many feels.

I loved how Peter reeled Gwen in for their first kiss. I love how they didn't try to top the upside-down kiss from SM1. They did their own thing that was fairly straightforward and teetered between levity and gravitas. I could only imagine what Gwen was thinking in that moment.

Gwen Stacy said:
Whoa. I'm making out with the masked vigilante my dad's hunting down.

Yeah it takes that bad boy appeal to whole other level.

I also loved that in the first film he let her in on his secret. It's so cliche to try to hide it from everyone, its more of an Ult. Spider-Man approach of the identity not being as secretive, and trust Peter puts into those he tells being hte more important thing.

1. Spidey wise-cracks with the car-jacker
2. Death of Uncle Ben
3. Spidey vs. Lizard - Round 1 & 2
4. Final Swing
5. Stan's Cameo

I honestly loved everything.

stand out moments

When Peter calls Flash "Eugene" - LOL, Parker has attitude! From that moment, you knew this was gonna be a fresh live-action take of the character.

The "Till Kingdom Come" skateboarding/training montage - I'm a HUGE Coldplay fan, and that is one of my favourite Coldplay songs. Music from my favourite band in a movie about my favourite superhero made it even better.

Peter vs Flash at basketball - "just take it" LOL! I didn't watch any of the clips that were released, so that was refreshing.

The sewer fight - short but sweet

The school fight - awesome fight. Spidey webbing Lizard was great. I also LOVED the music/score during that scene, especially the webbing part.

Stan Lee's cameo - by far his best cameo yet, even my girlfriend was laughing at it. Him
almost getting hit by the desk before Spidey yanks it away
was hilarious, the IMAX cinema "erupted" with laughter at that point.

The final swing - for me, this is where I'm having the biggest debate with myself. I LOVED the final swing in Spider-Man, and I also LOVED the final swing here.

The final swing in Spider-Man looked real. I mean it didn't look like CGI, even though you KNOW it's CGI. Plus the way Spidey swings up & backflips on to the top of the Empire State building, with the Manhattan skyline in the back, plus the USA flag. Iconic scene

The final swing in The Amazing Spider-Man was quicker, more dynamic I felt, and had the same fluidity. Spidey firing a web with the moon in the background was cool, that shot is actually my facebook profile pic lol. Also liked that we got to "feel" Spidey's speed when webslinging

I think I'd NARROWLY give the final swing to The Amazing Spider-Man though.

I'd give the final swing to Spider-Man (2002) just by a smidge, cause I wont lie there was goosebumps when i first saw that, and him holding on tot he flag post and everything. It was amazing.

Also have to say, that i loved the fight scenes in this movie. Anything with Peter was done practical and you could tell it was a person doing it and not CGI. and the Spidey/Lizard fights were all fun. Going from the sewers to the top of a skyscraper building and then a school. All unique and enjoyable.

The final Swing looked a lot better in the raimi films and more real IMO. In TASM it looked too CGI although I do like that last scene shot of Spidey in freeze frame before releasing his web.

final Swing
1. Spider-Man - USA flagpole
2. Spider-Man 2- Escorted with helicopters
3. The Amazing Spider-Man
4. Spider-Man 3 - Crane rescue

I just remembered these:
- Peter sneaking into Oscorp
- Seeing this (though I don't remember seeing that shadow...) just before he 'questions' the criminal harassing that woman

Hey guys, I have a question for those who have seen the movie : the parent's death represents the motivation for Parker to become Spider-Man ? (visit to oscorp, creation of the suit, try to know more about his parents, try to save Connors of the lizard because he creates him by accident)

I mean, it seems the death of ben parker gets the hero just more responsible but not really incite Parker to become spider-man, i'm right ? I hope so ! It will be a different take on the character without betray the comics and it will be interesting for me. It will be an original motivation more pleasant for me with the story of the secrets and the plot.

Sorry for my bad english, i'm french ! :D

Yeah spidey webbing up the lizard was awesome. The way he moved...so spider-like. This film was just...full of win.

Best part of this movie was how Webb nailed Gwen's 70s look with those boots. Her casting made this movie. If they do not follow up on Captain Stacy's foreshadowing about "people getting hurt" with Gwen they will have missed an incredible opportunity to shock the general audience.

Oh they will follow up on that. Remember Peter's last line to Gwen when he arrives late to class? He basically said, screw the promise I made to your dad.

One scene that really got me was when he got shot. That's the first time he's ever been seriously injured and he could barely even wall climb. In other movies, he kinda just bounced back from everything like he was invincible.

Oh and the way Peter reeled in Gwen for their kiss was a slick move. Swagger certified.

I was slightly annoyed he got shot in the first place.

I also hope they introduce Harry/MJ dating each other in the next film. It would be awesome to get that 70's feel with the whole gang together (Peter/Gwen, Flash, Harry/MJ) as it was back around issue 31 of ASM up until Gwen's death.
