Atheist Billboards Deep In The Heart Of Texas

Atheists are now an organized religion. It is hilarious that some are now doing what they thought was stupid. They will start meeting weekly, monthly, etc...at a meeting place, they will start handing out pamphlets, and they will start preaching the word of no god.

Atheism is not a religion. If non-belief is a belief, then not collecting stamps is a hobby. Off is a television channel. And while you're at it, you may as well ask pedestrians what brand of car they're driving.

Not collecting stamps becomes a hobby when you start making an issue of the fact you don't collect stamps, when you start gathering with people who also don't collect stamps and when you start investing money in advertising your lack of stamp collection.

HAHA...that made me lol. I have nothing against atheists but I have something against hypocrisy.

Weekly meetings, pamphlets, and conversation have never been the problem. The problem is God.

Quit putting words in our mouths.

Did God hurt you?

No. Just like the Easter Bunny didn't hurt me. You know why? Because neither one of them exist.

The problem is the Easter Bunny Serial Killer who goes out and kills someone every spring in the Easter Bunny's name.

Then that would be the fault of the person and not the belief. People kill people by being intoxicated...why don't you support MADD instead of a belief in not believing?

I support the People Against Mass Neurosis and People Against Superstition and Black Magic.

They said some stuff like:

"Loved the wedding. Invite me to the marriage." -God
"Don't make me come down there." -God
"Keep using my name in vain and I'll make your rush hour longer' -God"
"Wherever you go, there I am." -God
"I don't question your existence."
"Have you read my #1 bestseller?" -God
"I'm also making a list and checking it twice." -God
"If we don't communicate, you haven't got a prayer." -God

My favorite:
Let’s meet at My house Sunday, before the game.- God

I loved the south park episode on athiests when they were all dying and saying "oh sweet science" and **** that was awesome. It does seem kinda contridictory to have meetings and such, almost a church set up, for athiests. Kinda like an anarchist running for office.

Yeah those bilboards were stupid. Just more agenda but this is no different...both are equally ignorant and preachy by pushing their message down our throats.

This thread is full of funny. This makes me miss moviefan:csad: Could have a wonderful debate on a lack of logic.

Atheists are always *****ing that they do not want religious opinions forced on them, but they do exactly the same thing. Why can't both sides just live and let live?

Where exactly on that billboard did you read about atheists forcing religion on people? I thought it was about gathering.

I just love the irony of how Atheism has become a religion.
There are many Atheistic religions, and have been many since the dawn of modern civilization. It's not really ironic at all. The idea that 'God' is synonomous with religion is probably one of the most profound and glaring ignorances in this country. In fact there are fewer religions that believe in an actual God than those that don't.

because people want to be right more than anything else.....it's not about using your faith or lack thereof to the betterment of your life and others....its about being right so the other side is wrong and you can take credit

Correct. There is nothing on that first Billboard that suggests force.

I don't understand the point though.

"Hey everyone! There's nothing out there! Whooo!"

If there is no God.... then who cares? Why talk about somethings lack of existence?

I'm not quite sure why atheists would want to be right. They won't find out til their dead, and they won't even find out because their consciousness will just cease to exisit. Not exactly a good thing to be right about.
