So I'm watching this D-grade SyFy shark movie, called Atomic Shark, only there is a virtually identical movie known as Saltwater. It turns out the movie I am watching is actually Saltwater, aka Atomic Shark, not the other Atomic Shark I thought it was. :loco:

Saltwater and Atomic Shark are both similar with David Faustino in both as a character named Fletcher alongside Adam Ambruso as Reese (again, same character name in both) and Major Dodge (yes, really) as either Officer Mike or Jordy and pretty much the exact same premise of lifeguards stopping an atomic shark (the origins differ apparently and I have not seen Atomic Shark) off the coast of San Diego.

Different writers, directors and cast outside of that but for a few minutes I thought IMDB somehow had two entries for the same movie with contradictory credit listings. Both came out in 2016, one as direct to television and another direct to video.

I know of mockbusters but never seen one that ripped off another D quality movie. :oldrazz:

Both movies are D-grade and share some actors and the same title.
This should be some of the greatest clusterf***s in film history. Is it a fun one?

The quality is terrible but it has a few okay moments. The best scene so far is near the end when two women are fighting on a boat and one is suicidal after losing her boyfriend, trying to light the fuse on a bundle of dynamite only for the lighter to keep going out with the dramatic tension music constantly starting and stopping as the lighter keeps failing to light up.

Then they go to do the dramatic "this is how we kill the shark" moment only for the plan to literally explode in front of them when the dynamite filled boat detonates.

My friend is terrified of clowns and I just came across this im tempted to buy it to find out just how bad it is :funny:

Original concept. :oldrazz:

This could be dumber than Sharknado, and more hilarious.

I saw that poster yesterday and for a moment thought it was a satire until I realized, no they really are going to Sharknado Clowns. :funny:
