think alot of unimaginitive people are calling for Mickey Rourke. Yes, he played the super-scarred up Marv in Sin City. Doesn't mean he has to play every super-scarred up character in comic book movies. Let's do something foreign to Hollywood and think outside the box when casting.
I guess I'm just too familiar nor excited about Jigsaw as a character. I think the idea of a guy who just keeps evading death at the hands of the Punisher is interesting. I just don't think the Punsiher should have an arch-villain. Jigsaw must die at the end of War Zone. It must be so. In fact, I'd like to see Jigsaw survive several assaults by Punisher only to finally be woodchipped by Frank at the end....just to be sure.
You know who could play a playboy and maybe a villain as well? Brad Pitt. I'm not a fan of his, and he's too expensive for this movie. However, it might be interesting seeing him play a villain.
Cole Hauser's not a bad choice, but he's probably involved on his new TV show (which probably won't last though).
Karl Urban, perhaps? He can play tough pretty well. He's also good looking enough to fit the playboy beginning to the character.
Clive Owen? Might be too A-list to be the villain. He can act tough pretty well, and he seems rather decent. It would be nice to see him as a villain given some decent screen time (he was barely in Bourne Identity).
Whoever they pick, I hope this movie has NOTHING to do with the original. They shouldn't even mention any characters or events from that movie
