Posted this on the GPA news page, but thought I'd toss it over here too...
From DailyMail.co.uk:
Less than three years ago he was out of work and virtually forgotten. But now squeaky-voiced comedian Joe Pasquale is making his name in Hollywood after landing parts in the Mike Myers comedy The Love Guru and the action movie Punisher 2.
The 45-year-old winner of I'm A Celebrity . . . has also been hired to work with Jim Carrey in an animated movie based on a Dr Seuss book. And how did he get all this work?
"He conquered his fear of flying by qualifying as a pilot, buying himself a plane, flying to Cannes and buttonholing the people who matter to get the jobs that matter," says a friend of Joe.
Also, from TimesOnline.co.uk:
--A surprise power player in Cannes -- Joe Pasquale, the former winner of I'm A Celebrity . . . ! Surprising in that, having impressed Mel Brooks with his portrayal of Leo Bloom in the British tour of The Producers, he has been offered cameo roles in The Punisher 2 (!) and the new Mike Myers movie. Even more surprising -- he flew his own plane there. Not quite Blackpool pier, is it?
