Ah, well.. it would have been nice to have this take place in Michigan, there is/was a burgeoning film industry in the state, could have been good for employment opportunities, and local fans could have gotten to visit the set..

The Gov up there is stirring up a bee's nest ain't he.

Yeah that whole "teaparty" thing was a great idea huh??????

And to think, I voted for that idiot. Snyder is NOT a conservative Republican. He's a *****ebag centrist "business man" who has his head up his own ass. You don't raise taxes on any citizen to give tax breaks to big business. That's the basis for his budget proposal. The Conservative motto is cut EVERYONE'S taxes. And, you certainly don't discourage jobs and spending in state by using faulty numbers to justify a hollywood cap and killing the film incentives. Liberal Democrat policies have nearly killed the state and hung unemployment at 20% but the only thing the last Governor did right was putting in place these film tax breaks. Snyder is stating that only .10 cents for every dollar they spend returns but that's total BS and doesn't factor in outside spending and job stimulation. Supplies, restaurants, hotels, etc. ALL benefit.

Partisanship aside, this does NOTHING but hurt the state, period.
